I was out yesterday with my children. Dd suddenly tells me she needs the toilet. Holding herself and crossing her legs. We are on a long stretch of road! Nothing but houses! And a bus stop she gets more and more desperate. So I say ok quickly come here find a corner next to the bus stop and let her crouch down. Waiting and I see no wee. So I'm like quickly get up people are coming. You obviously didnt really need to go. As she stands up I see it's a poo!! Not a wee!! Im humiliated. I would never have allowed her to poo on the floor if I had realised that's what it was but she was just holding herself as if she needed a wee! I still feel bad today as it's by the bus stop! Wibu by not going back to clean it. Confused

I had this on Monday day with my 4 year old. At a park, no public toilets. Found a hidden space, waiting for wee and DD started to push 😭.

I did pick it up, bag it and bin it! Luckily I had things in my car such as wipes and a plastic bag to sort it out.
I wouldn't have left it!

Had a similar experience with my son. In a pub garden, him and his sister had been playing in trees and bushes for a while. He then wets himself (not that long out of nappies). We had a change of clothes, so we calmly got him changed, but when we pulled his trousers down, we could see by the stainage that he had pooed himself at some point, but said poo was nowhere to be seen. Somewhere, in the depths of the pub garden, a rogue poo was lurking. Did a casual circuit of all of the tables, and couldn't locate it, so it is still probably out there. Yikes!

I can't believe people are suggesting to have used a sock. Boak.

ButchyRestingFace · 16/08/2017 16:32

You're not having much luck recently, are you, 10greenapples? 🤔

NetMumsBastards · 16/08/2017 16:33

Redadmiral A few times I've found myself out of poo bags when I've been walking the dog and used socks. I used my hoodie once because I wasn't wearing socks.

Socks (and hoodies!) can be washed on a hot wash or chucked away with the poo.

Because I'm a decent human being with a sense of citizenship, I thought it was much better to use my socks and then sling them in the wash than leave a disgusting, smelly shit on the pavement for people to tread in.

RainbowPastel · 16/08/2017 16:34

Disgusting of course you should clean it up.

meltingmarshmallows · 16/08/2017 16:40

People are BU. It would have caused the child huge embarrassment if you knocked on houses or asked passers by. It's not ideal but FFS it was unexpected and just one of those things.

All the pearl clutching dog owners need to get over themselves. Dogs poo routinely outside so of course there's laws and regulations. A child having a one off accident is in no way the same.

The rain will wash it away. I wouldn't lose sleep over it OP, it wasn't your fault / avoidable.

Ticktockwedontstop · 16/08/2017 16:41

Shit happens, not ideal but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Bluntness100 · 16/08/2017 16:44

Was there no where private you could have taken her? I'm less shocked at the poo and more shocked at a seven year old girl being told to go to th toilet in a bus stop where people could have seen out of houses.
