I wouldn't in front of DC's friends. Yes it's gross and exasperating and unacceptable, but I can imagine a 12 year old feeling hideously embarrassed by having it addressed in front of friends. I'd issue a massive bollocking after they have gone and tell him that next time I won't be so restrained. But that's the age when social stuff feels like life or death.

MyheartbelongstoG · 14/08/2017 20:55

Op, I'm with you.

I too have 3 boys in the house and its absolutely vile when you sit it in.

Makes me wanna take a shit in their bed in protest Grin

lostfrequencies · 14/08/2017 20:56

I think YABU to say that in front of his friends.

Eurgh it is grim, but I think it's a bit mean to say it in front of his friends at that age - they won't forget it easily!

Chickoletta · 14/08/2017 20:59

YABU both for shaming them and for being unable to use an apostrophe.

Topseyt · 14/08/2017 21:01

I would say it.

I have three girls, so the problem of peeing on the seat didn't really occur. I didn't hold back though from asking who didn't flush the toilet when friends were round, especially as they neared secondary school age.

Youcanttaketheskyfromme · 14/08/2017 21:01

Well if he's mortified maybe he won't do it again.

Sparklingbrook · 14/08/2017 21:04

I wouldn't have done it in front of his friends.

Topseyt · 14/08/2017 21:04

Oh, and yes, I absolutely would say it to an adult.

elevenclips · 14/08/2017 21:05

Yabvu poor boy - fine to shout that if it's only your family members at home but he must have felt really embarrassed with his mates there, regardless of who did it!

forfucksakejanet · 14/08/2017 21:07

Yanbu! I have done this, and will continue to do it until the dirty little sods stop pissing everywhere

It's a willy, not a hosepipe, and if they can't aim they should sit down

One friend in particular pisses on the floor! On the wall! On the seat! It's beyond grim and I'm not here to clear it up

I get DH to clean it most of the time and have no qualms about calling any male in the house out for such behaviour

Mumsnut · 14/08/2017 21:12

I should 'Wash your hands' when I hear my 17 yo ds's friends scoot straight out. Or even, 'Flush it you oik!'

I don't care how embarrassed they feel.

WeAllHaveWings · 14/08/2017 21:16

Ds had a friend who did this, I discretely worked out who it was and after a couple of times going to the loo immediately after him and quietly asking him to come back and sort out his mess he never did it again.
