DC1 starts school in September he has just turned 4.
the only uniform that can be purchased from the non school uniform shop is shirt and trousers. He even has to wear a tie.

The rest even pe kit is branded with their logo. Its all come in at nearly £200.00. I only ordered 1 pe kit fingers crossed he doesn't lose them :)
Im guessing its only going to get more expensive. as next year he needs to wear a blazer. I think I will be wrestling him to get him dressed every morning :)

Our school have logo PE tops which are lovely, last ages and don't really cost that much. They're not mandatory, though. Just preferred.

I can't believe a reception child has to wear a tie etc, poor things. It should be about comfort at that young age. Our school is smart but so very flexible and I continually thank them for that. Can't imagine having to wrestle my youngest into a tie!

My kids (luckily for me) have been quite good at not misplacing their jumpers when they have taken off but my niece lost no. 16 cardigan just before she left reception.

They all had her name in them but as the school say 'if you can't find yours, just take a decent one out of lost property' I think hers must have been taken as they never turned up. Surely if they have her name and class in them they could just be popped up to the classroom - it isn't much more effort than slinging in the ever growing lost property!

They'll be demanding school logo pants next...

My daughter had to wear a blazer at primary and secondary and full uniform. They were a ridiculous cost. Even more so at secondary as she moved up and had to have blazers with braiding, ribbon etc in 5th and 6th year.
