Totally irrational dislike for actors/actresses??

What is it about certain actors/actresses that just make you dislike them for no reason at all?
I was just looking at the web and Melissa George (Home and Away, and others) and i just really don't like her. I have no idea why though? I don't dislike other female actresses?

There are far more that I don't like than I like. However cannot watch a film with any of the following smug mcsmug faces in:

Ben affleck (himbo, otoh i love Casey and his mumbling)
Shia Labeof (shit name and what is the point? Can't act, fugly as hell)
Ryan Reynolds (what is the point, not even good looking)0
Gerard Butler (try hard shite, up himself)

Joanna Lumley, known (ironiclly) as Joanna Lovely, erghhhhh!
Roman Atkinson, his elastic wrinkled face.
I'm sure their good people, but they leave me cold.

I used to love Melissa George and Dieter Brummer on Home and Away! I had their posters on my bedroom wall.

James Nesbitt usually annoys me. I didn't mind him in The Hobbit films though.

Russell Crowe, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman

There is no rational reason, they sure are very good actors. But there is something about them that irritates me. Tom Cruise gives me the creeps actually.

Emma Watson I believe is like that, considering she is English - yes, she is fairly posh. Oh well.

Mel Gibson. Have always had an aversion to him, long before he was a well-known arsehole. Genuinely no idea why.

DH thinks it might be a weird instinct thing because I also had a similar aversion to Casey Affleck, before it came out that he was a rapey bastard. However I have managed to sit through a film or two with him in whereas I can't sit through Mel's, no way.

Brace yourselves, because she's apparently a national treasure, but I can't stand Julie Walters. Nicole Kidman gives me the creeps, she doesn't even seem human to me. Keira Knightley just comes across as thick as a brick.

Amanda Holden and Ferne Cotton. If I could reach in the tv and slap them silly....

Someone mentioned The Hobbit films. I love them, but I do not like Martin Freeman. Not one bit. I was so disappointed when I found out he would be starting in the films.

Nicole Kidman. I know I'm clearly in a minority here since she is a mega star but I think she's a hopeless actor. I've yet to see her in any role that is convincing.

Welsh, I'm definitely in agreement with you when it comes to Tom Hanks.

So pleased there are other Bill Murray dislikers around! I always say him and get horrified 'but Ghostbusters!' responses. He is dull, tedious, can't act, and the fucking bullshit about 'I live a reclusive lifestyle' - well, that's fine love, but don't be an actor then. Plus, wait... NO ONE CARES.

Also have to nominate Tamzin Outhwaite - her name is OOOOOUUUUUTHWAITE between my best mate and me, as we share our irrational dislike. Only slightly mitigated by finding out that her ex husband was a total shit to her. I still think she has that hard-faced, weaselly look about her.

See Emilia fox hasn't been mentioned - please tell me I'm not alone in my hatred of her as an actress, she ruined silent witness for me. Can't watch anything she's in as gives me the rage

Angelina, Nicole, Kate Beckinsale, Liz Hurley, Amanda Holden: all women of a certain age who have had varying degrees of cosmetic surgery, some more natural that others, and all seem to think they can con the world into believeing they are natural beauties. I actually find their looks to be quite disturbing, esp. those of Nicole and Angelina . You ain't fooling me ladies.

KIera Knightly and Andie McDowell: I just can't watch anything they are in.

Tom Cruise: just... ghastly. Jude Law: insufferably smug wankbadger.
