We're on holiday. We have 2 sons aged 9 and 11.

Without fail, every bloody night one of them can't sleep, or has a nightmare, or a tummy pain, or some other ill defined problem.

How the fuck do you actually have sex when you have kids this age????? AIBU to actually want sex again before they leave home?

Can you go back to bed for a second cup of coffee while they watch some TV after breakfast?

We tend to have sex at some point during the day when both the kids are engrossed in their tablets / computer (they are 8 and 10). Haven't been interrupted yet...

In the bathroom and only a quickie. Now they are 17 and 14, we told them a few times that we were going for a drink while they were lounging by the pool... it was straight up to the room, quickie then to the bar for said drinks!

I would have thought children over 5 would be able to get through the night without bothering you.
Mine slept all the way through the night without bothering me from about 3 or 4 and never came into my room unless he was actually really ill.
I certainly wouldn't have been very happy to be woken up for nothing with work the next day and I'm not a mean mum either.
Are they suffering with some sort of anxiety?
