Take some castor oil, bran flakes, arnica, rumpy and whatever else and hopefully we wont be hearing from you today. Fingers crossed

We need a 'no antenatal thread' option .

Mossie · 29/03/2007 09:54

Lol Liesel ... I'm still here, still huge! Seeing mw this afternoon to get referred to hospital for sweep. As long as they don't try and talk me into pessaries, drips, goodness only knows what else!

LieselVentouse · 29/03/2007 10:02

What does a drip do - sorry I dont understand all the birth malarky.

OP posts:
Mossie · 29/03/2007 10:13

Oh I don't know really, I think it's a way they can induce you if the pessaries haven't worked. Oxytocin drip perhaps? Sounds really scary though.

LieselVentouse · 29/03/2007 10:24

Does actually - think my way of childbirth is the best - get yourself knocked out and wake up two days later after having a conversation with a dead grannie and Jim Morrison

OP posts:
Mossie · 29/03/2007 10:25

Liesel what happened!!?

Katy44 · 29/03/2007 10:27

What on earth did they say?
(can't believe I'm even asking that as though it's a reasonable question)
Babydust sprinkles to Mossie and anyone else overdue (I know how loved that babydust is!!)

LieselVentouse · 29/03/2007 10:27

I had eclampsia, had emergency section and woke up a couple of days later spaced out my head. Not seeing my daughter for four days really got me though

Katy44 · 29/03/2007 10:29
Sad
LieselVentouse · 29/03/2007 10:29

Gran said she was very proud of me and (okay exaggerate with Jim Morrison) but I did hallucinate that Isla St Clair was giving me parenting lessons.

mytwopenceworth · 29/03/2007 10:30

i really don't know why a 'them and us' attitude is coming through.

i think i might go and plonk myself on the antenatal threads and have a natter.

Mossie · 29/03/2007 10:30

Liesel - bleedin' 'eck! Hope you were okay afterwards.

Katy... now isn't Baby Dust for getting pregnant? I need labour dust now, if there is such a thing!!

Off to walk the dogs in the hope of kick starting something...

LieselVentouse · 29/03/2007 10:30

..... my sister (mateychops) looked like one of these Eastern babes from Cathey Pacific when she came to see me and my mum looked like a heraldic angel - diamorphin is good sh*t

Mossie · 29/03/2007 10:30

Mtpw come and join us in March, there are only a few of us left we could do with the conversation it's getting quiet!!!

Katy44 · 29/03/2007 10:32

Oh yes, sorry, but labour dust doesn't sound quite as cute.
I've just finished an assignment, been very stressed, didn't really sleep last night, but had to read your last sentence a few times before I realised you weren't going out to kick your dog

staceym11 · 29/03/2007 10:47

it is a bit mean for people to moan/take the p*ss out of antenatal threads, they are there for supporting pg women when they need it and if that means a supportive group to moan at and give advice so be it!! graduate of due nov '06 thread!

Pesha · 29/03/2007 11:06

Katy - lol at mossie kicking her dogs Gin You're profile is still my favourite ever

Pesha · 29/03/2007 11:06

Or even, although gin would be good!!

Dinosaur · 29/03/2007 11:06

Don't get worked up about it, LV - life is too short.

staceym11 · 29/03/2007 11:09

sorry but have to at pesha's Gin

Mossie · 29/03/2007 11:10

Oooh yes gin would be brilliant! Glad you like my profile [proud emoticon]!

I think my dogs are going to kick me actually, I've had to abandon their walk for now as I keep getting uncomfortable / painful feelings when I stand up. If any one knows what is is come and advise!

LieselVentouse · 29/03/2007 11:14

Mossie, just had a swatch at your profile - OMG when was that photo taken?

OP posts:
staceym11 · 29/03/2007 11:15

Mossie · 29/03/2007 11:15
