To try and park in this space (diagram!)

So I need to work at a different office today, they have a small car park (see diagram)
Is it physically possible to park in the top space if my boss is parked in his space
It's very tight (diagram not really to scale)
I don't think I can drive into the space but I can't reverse up the alley way as my mirrors are almost touching the walls each side
Shall I just block my boss in then move my car when he leaves?
And no I'm not a massively shit driver just not confident reversing in tiny spaces surrounded by brick walls

Hi
My husband - who I've been with for about 8 years has his previous girlfriend's number and address stored on the memo section of his phone- he put this on in 2016. Some background- when he was married to his first wife, he had an affair with this woman, which broke both their marriages up. His poor wife [ I never met her] then died. According to him; their relationship was a big mistake etc etc and he didn't have any contact with her. She and I have one or two mutual acquaintances, although I have never met her. I did have a facebook request from her around 4 years ago, which I didn't reply to. A friend of hers relayed to me that she apologised for that; that she was looking at my page, drunk, and pressed the wrong button.
I am a little suspicious that he hasn't put the number with his contacts. AIBU?

Did you mean to start a new thread?

LifeOnAHamsterWheel · 14/11/2017 15:42

The only way to do it is reverse and park so you are facing to drive out?

Ttbb · 14/11/2017 15:44

If you park like that his are you going to get out? I am assuming that the alley opens up into a road-you are not going to reverse into the road are you?

blueskyinmarch · 14/11/2017 15:48

@kazzacam You are not going to get many replies by posting an entirely spurious post on an old parking thread. You need to start your own thread.

PuppyMonkey · 14/11/2017 15:56

Such a good diagram too, what a waste. Grin

DownTheChimney · 05/12/2017 14:06

Surely op hasn't been trying for 4 months to get into that parking space Grin

JenniferL90 · 22/01/2018 09:53

Just block him in and then let him know you've done it and check he doesn't mind?

AuntLydia · 22/01/2018 09:59

@jenniferL90 why and how have you managed to resurrect a 5 month old thread about parking?! How did you even come across it?!

RainbowPastel · 22/01/2018 10:50

December 2017 was not 5 months ago AuntLydia

CuriousaboutSamphire · 22/01/2018 10:52

August was, though Grin

AuntLydia · 22/01/2018 10:54

Indeed. The thread itself is 5 months old and the new poster has responded to that op, not the unrelated reply later on. I just wonder how these threads turn up? It can't have been on active or the first page of AIBU. How did Jennifer bring it up?

Snowysky20009 · 22/01/2018 11:01

Do people go searching for these threads to bring them up? Mmmm what shall I look for? I know, I will type in parking thread!... don't worry if it's zombie.....

FluffyWuffy100 · 22/01/2018 11:04

If it is your boss just block him in and let him know when you arrive.

ghostyslovesheets · 22/01/2018 11:10

IT'S FIVE MONTHS OLD

DerelictWreck · 22/01/2018 11:21

It's because this thread appears in the talk box on the search results page - it makes it look like it's recent. Perhaps @mnhq can sort that out?

AuntLydia · 22/01/2018 11:24

Yeah it does now but it wouldn't have before Jennifer bumped it surely?

Alibobbob · 22/01/2018 12:52

Derelict is right that’s why I was zombified in October.

DerelictWreck · 22/01/2018 13:20

It's been there for about 8 months I think! Always on when I go to search something, along with 4 other old threads.

(This isn't the same as the threads on the talk function of the home page)

brizzledrizzle · 29/01/2018 16:16

The Highway Code says that you should always reverse park into bay spaces (because you know it's empty and so there would be a greater risk of hitting something you haven't seen if you reverse coming out).

The Highway Code clearly wasn't written with supermarket parking spaces in mind!

Stubbytung · 23/03/2018 21:57

Buy a crap car and scrape it down the wall.

TulipFromAmsterdam · 09/04/2018 11:31

can you pull in where bins are and then reverse?

Or, just let your boss know and move your car when they need to move?

Verbena37 · 27/04/2018 15:32

Ring your boss and ask kindly if they wouldn’t mind parking in the end space and you in their’s Grin.

leannetta · 09/08/2018 19:30

"I have a tiny car. More of a big overcoat really"

Knittedfairies · 09/08/2018 20:33

I thought I’d seen this before....
