AIBU?

to HATE that "smasha your face" antenatal thread title?!

I mean I know they're hormonal,I know they're all nice really but it looms out at me so offensively when I click on active threads. Couldn't it be renamed a more cuddly title? Something cutsey and babylike though a little annoying would do fine!

I don't really notice them - that is I see them but they don't interest me so they don't really register so I don't get offended by them. Obviously I noticed the smasha your face one, was mildly amused for a second or two.

i confess, Minty Sperm was my thread title

but we found it funny!

I too love that thread title, think it is fab!

but anyway, we'd calmed this down and stopped it becoming a slanging match, lets not start it again, please

Sorry that sounded patronising - wasn't meant to be - just have no intention of ever having to be on an antenatal thread.

Oh i LOVE that thread title.

its not like no-one has the option just to switch it off is it? if a person is so easily offended i really think they should be in therapy or something, rather than on the internet.

its a JOKE. as in a sense of humour? any got one of those??

im not even pg, but really, this is just so... ill stick with 'stuffy'. think you should get over it, personally.

  1. How come we get the usual cliches about hormonal pregnant women on these threads? We're not the ones who have a fainting fit at a thread title, are we?"

well said Katy44

new thread started - just used my imagination for a title hope i haven't offended anyone!!!

so in answer to the opening posters question: yep, it is kinda unreasonable to hate it. To hate it is pretty strong.

I don't think we're particularly cutesy, babyish, fluffy people. Use the word Twunt far too often.

It doesn't offend me in the slightest, and I hated people touching my bump. But I think it's naff imvho and I'm fed up seeing it tbh.

Also I love how everyone who doesn't geddit has no sense of humour.

I do have one - it's just not the same one as you...

Blah, blah , blah.. who cares? We have a new one now anyway, so no-one need be offended by it any longer! Unless of course you are offended by the new one!

Why is everyone so narky today?

There's mud slinging rows going on everywhere

Go cuddle your babies or sneak a look at them sleeping, that should make you feel better.

Sorry, I didn't mean to kick anything off! Not slagging anyone at all - not meant to get at anyone personally!

Hope you all enjoy your babies when they arrive

well said margo!

If only my babies were bloody well asleep!

i find some of the "am i being unreasonable" dire. but you know what i do? I look past them until i find a thread I'm looking for!

who'd've thought it?

I've noticed this to Margo? Spring Fever maybe?

I like it, it's clever. But not repeated ad nauseum, that would get a bit, er, tedious.

Report
lionheart · 28/03/2007 22:00

I don't like it but I've got a lot of time in which to get used to it.
