I know I know I was asking for it- going out in the car on a Sunday; 'Sunday drivers'... As I was sat/stuck behind yet another slow, overly cautious (shit - IMO) driver it infuriated me that she left a car sized gap between her and the car in front of her. These selfish twats idly trundle by just as the lights change leaving whoever was stuck behind them (and their massive unnecessary gap...) stuck at the lights. I curse them. What and/or who really gets you mad?

OP posts:
Charley50 · 06/08/2017 20:49

I never notice car size gaps at traffic lights, but drivers who dither at roundabouts get on my nerves.

sproutish · 06/08/2017 20:51

I think someone's already said it but it's retriggered my hatred for people how stand an inch away from you in queues! I am the grumpy stuck up lady who will turn around and ask you to move back away from me Angry

cleanasawhistle · 06/08/2017 20:51

Adults posting selfies on FB.....then waiting for the compliments to roll in Angry

TinselTwins · 06/08/2017 20:52

Greenteandchives · 06/08/2017 20:52

People who think they are the only person in the world who has ever had a baby.Yawn.

needsomesunshineandwine · 06/08/2017 20:53

People who stop and chat in supermarket blocking aisle and people who do this walking through town.

Rude people.

Liars.

2 faced people.

People who drive right up my arse!

Litter droppers.

People who cough and don't cover their mouth.

I could go on and on but best not.

Mumzypopz · 06/08/2017 20:53

People who think they are always right.

Maci · 06/08/2017 20:54

People who have no sense of time and are either always rushing or just late (just leave a bit earlier ffs)
People who moan about being broke yet who smoke
My ex
People who don't smile or acknowledge someone they know when they walk past them

Sirzy · 06/08/2017 20:54

Drivers who try to shove in at the last minute at a very clearly sign posted junction.

KennethCat · 06/08/2017 20:55

Armchair medics on mn who really know their stuff and can diagnose a thyroid problem at the drop of a hat. The GP is, of course, always wrong regardless of the blood picture.

Cashpoint ditherers. Just take your money and fuck off. And please don't look surprised when you eventually turn round and realise that a massive queue has built up behind you.

TroysMammy · 06/08/2017 20:55

People.

Dinocat · 06/08/2017 20:56

Oh god,

Shop/cafe etc workers who carry on a conversation with a colleague whilst serving you
Dawdlers/groups taking up the whole pavement
People talking over me or not letting me finish my sentence
All these 'sculpting' jeans/tights/whatever in a size 8/10. Jeez if you think you need it then god help my size 16 self
Pubs that do gorgeous roast dinners with all the trimmings but the veggie option is a pasta bake 😭

Shops that make you book online for a bra fitting- is it really that hard to squeeze me in for 5 mins when you are literally just standing around and my baby is finally asleep?! I just want a nice, well fitted bra pleeeease!!

And breathe!

TinselTwins · 06/08/2017 20:56

People who got to go through teenhood without the added dimention of social media/internet porn etc thinking they know it all because "I was young once" and because they smoked some weed in the 60s and now think that's the same thing as skunk etc

Drives me mad! No you haven't a fucking clue what teenagers today have to deal with and your stories about that time with the "wacky baccie" just prove how little you know about youth issues!

littlejeopardy · 06/08/2017 20:56

Topsy and Tim on cbeebies

People commenting on what I eat.

People who rev sports cars loudly on residential streets.

ilivebythesea · 06/08/2017 20:56

Neighbours outside with power tools at 8am
Neighbours outside with power tools at 10pm
Knights of the road - "you first" "no, you first"
People who choose to sit at the table next to you in an empty cafe

gunsandbanjos · 06/08/2017 20:58

'HD' eyebrows, wtaf? Please look in the mirror.

Anyone who uses the word hun.

People who put their feet on the seats on buses, stop being a wanker.

People who eat with their mouth open.

Whistling.

I've got more, I'll be back!

Sunnysidegold · 06/08/2017 21:01

Shop assistants who just had at you and don't tell you the total...just wait to be paid. A wee bit of human interaction would be nice.
People who overuse "quirky" especially when talking about decor.
People saying wine o clock or going for cheeky drinks.
People who put pictures on fb of the presents they got for Valentine's day / mothers day etc. I'm not jealous it just seems.show offy.
That fucking dog down the road that won't shut up.
Similarly neighbours who have a bonfire once a week.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 06/08/2017 21:01

everything pisses me off lately, I used to be the most laid back person ...... now I have a constant WTF expression on my face! I'm approaching 50 so not sure if it's hormone related.

I've just had to force myself not to put a sarky comment on FB from an acquaintance who always has to post about being the busiest, most tired person ever with work and kids ..... Well aren't we fucking all love. Stop posting this shit.

hana32 · 06/08/2017 21:03

People who refer to their partner as "daddy" or "mummy" to other people when their DC is not present. E.g. texting me "went swimming today- daddy came too!" or "let me just check with daddy".

Are you talking about your own dad? Or my dad? No? Did you forget your partner's actual name?

/rantover

nikiforov · 06/08/2017 21:03

People using prams to block access to everything in the supermarket. Like, when you have a pram and a trolley I completely get that you're probably struggling, but also please don't stand with your pram and trolley blocking half the aisle and then yell at me when I lean over one or the other to get something off of the shelf?!

Also, people who get mad at me for being on my phone a lot. I'll have a panic attack if I don't have a distraction in public.

potatoscowls · 06/08/2017 21:03

ALLthedinosaurs are you my long lost twin?
(Love the username btw)

Albadross · 06/08/2017 21:03

People who are cruel to animals.

People who get to the bottom of stairs in front of hundreds of commuters, stop to look at the tube map and don't move even when it's staggeringly clear that they're blocking the entry on to the platform.

Trump supporters.

People who think the answer to guns is more guns.

maddiemookins16mum · 06/08/2017 21:04

Okaaaaay, people that can't do a weekly shop in Tesco without eating a picnic as they do it (with food they haven't yet purchased).
Lateness (yes colleague, you wouldn't turn up for your train for a night out 10 minutes late but turn up at 9.08 each morning - we don't do flexitime as you well know).
Grown men in their 40's getting on the train and putting their scooters in the overhead rack (yes, scooters, those things for kids knobend).
People in busy commuter stations at 8am walking as they look at their phones.
People who say 3/4 years old is still too young to toilet train and they'll do it "when they're ready".

thenightsky · 06/08/2017 21:04

MartinJD and Mumzypopz - at traffic lights. There is no need to leave a car sized gap between you and the car in front at traffic lights. I'd like to see anyone argue the case for doing so. That'd be a laugh

I was always taught the 'tyres and tarmac' rule at lights. Which is about a small car's length.

TheFirstMrsDV · 06/08/2017 21:06

People who offer unwanted opinions on my DC's hair.
Fuck off with your unresolved self loathing and stop projecting your insecurities about your hair onto my beautiful DCS with their beautiful natural hair.

Its not the first time I have expressed that in 25 years and after 5 DCs but it needs repeating every so often.
