I've found the threads enormous fun so I'm saying a big big thank you to Watty for starting them, and keeping posting. And thank all of you too, it's been great!

Whatever the reason Watty is no longer posting, I don't mind (as long as she's not too ill to post or similar), she could be advised not to continue or she could be a troll and anything in between, irrelevant as it's just been lovely being here.

I'm fed up that OP has not returned. A simple sentence is all that would be needed. She doesn't have to update us, but surely she could say that there will be nothing further from her.

I hope she's enjoying her grandmother's visit and the support of her Council planning office in having the privacy & security of her home restored.

I know what it's like to feel that being broached, the sinking nauseous feeling each time yo approach your house, and the worry & time & energy & money it takes to correct the criminality of those who have no respect for civilised living.

I think he and Vanka may already be stowed away among the crates of Guinness , flasks of coffee and tea and the huge quantities of sandwiches and hard-boiled eggs that were packed into the big suitcase place under the seats. There were foreign mutterings and the scent of Beetroot Liqueur coming through the air vents . . .
