*coach, not coat, but I will have a posh coat if there's one going

AcrossthePond55 · 06/08/2017 12:41

Jux You can have Davy. For me it was Peter all the way.

I even recall my friends and I writing "Mrs

Gran22 · 06/08/2017 12:44

I keep popping back in the hope that the CFN have been back! Their reactions should be worth noting....

No joy so far, but they might just risk a sneaky visit?

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 12:52

Schaden,

You'll be missed.
Yes dogs allowed.

Modern: 2

Yes, Marilyn I'm definitely confusing the two. My mistake. As you were.

But yes, my vote is for the posh coach. I already have my posh coat ready and I don't want to get it caught on any rusty bits on those old vintage coaches.

Can we have the guy who takes the people around on 'Coach Trip'? That would be nice.

MipMipMip · 06/08/2017 12:58

Nonononono! Were going to a listed building - it has to be the vintage bus! Followed by a carriage as we slowly go back in time to when the window was first put in (costumes are on the roof rack).

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 13:13

Mip,

Clever! I like the time travel concept.

Right: Vintage - 1
Modern - 2

(I read that as if I were announcing football scores).

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 13:15

Including FlyingFuck's : Vintage - 1, Modern - 3

Jux · 06/08/2017 13:16

I do think we should grab the CFNs and CFBs when they're unprepared and force them to join the coach trip BUT they'll be on the Vintage coach following in our wake "ha ha ha That'll larn 'em" as, um, somebody said somewhere sometime.

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 13:16

BTW, Have we had a visual of Nice Planning Office Lady yet?
Think MN is unanimous that Olivia Colman's made for the part.

Marilyn & Jux my DH went to Davy Jones' wedding (one of many I believe) in Swansea.

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 13:18

CFNs/CFBs can bloody well be handcuffed to our coach and made to run alongside...

Tigerlovingall · 06/08/2017 13:20

So there's still places on the Vintage bus convoy? Brill, that's for me(as long as I can have one of the front seats of the first coach, that is)
Reason? Those buggers are gonna break down and I live in hope that we'll be towed in convoy by that fit bloke in the adverts that tows a tower of breakdown vehicles. So I'll get a front seat view of glistening muscles and that bum pump action. What's not to like? Grin

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 13:24

Vintage - 2, Modern -3

lifesaver - great stuff. Tiger - Wink

Tigerlovingall · 06/08/2017 13:30

marilyn , just putting in a plea that Bill Nihy, or whatever his name is, contractually wears a scarf or muffler at all times ? He's got an old man's scrawny neck, and I really but really don't like old men's scrawny necks Shock

otherwise, I'm ok with the castingSmile
Unless the script calls for him to wear a budgie smuggler anorl? Nah, need eye bleach for that, too...

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 13:32

Am going out at 2 p.m., so cast your votes before then, people.

Thanking you muchly.

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 13:34

Tiger, back of the bus for you or anyone insulting The Sainted Nighy.

londonrach · 06/08/2017 13:41

Havent read since friday night. Did ndn came back. What i miss

Tigerlovingall · 06/08/2017 13:44

Bloody hell! Dissent in the ranks and we've not even set off let alone broken down and called for the assistance of my swoon-worthy towman!

I just said, fact, he's got a scrawny turkey neck.
Tell you what, if I bring my staple gun along and do some essential pulling up and stapling, praps wrapping his spare neck skin into a fetching top knot on top of his head, please may I still come? Please?

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 06/08/2017 13:45

Modern coach for me please......with LOTS of sangria......

Can I have the seat next to Bill Nighy please?

AgathaF · 06/08/2017 13:53

I have completely missed a thread and a half!

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 06/08/2017 14:07

Tiger has now been strapped to a roof rack by the MN Nighy fanatics.

Bugger, only if you have sharp elbows: there's quite a queue (see upthread). Sangria may well be on tap.

Result: Vintage -2, Modern -4
(Modern wins! Congrats!).

However, in the interests of harmony, we're providing a Vintage bus as well, so you lot fantasising about muscular tow men can have your moment...

Got to rush. Will be back on this eve.

Rugratwrangler · 06/08/2017 14:09

I'm sorry but, whenever Bill Nighy is mentioned, all I think of is Bill Nye The Science Guy

Will quickly add this to coach singalong playlist:

"Waterloo Sunset", The Kinks ...no relevance whatsoever to this thread, but just a great song and band Smile.
Keep any other suggestions coming...any genre, any era, as long as decent melody for group singing.
