AIBU that I hate with a passion people that don't RTFT

It's the ones where the OP lashes out on their first post and we then get the full back story and their initial anger and distress often starts to make more sense. And then suddenly half the thread becomes absolute lazy fuckers going I haven't RTFT but you are twat. Usually within a few posts of the OP saying they are feeling suicidal or disclose past abuse.

Fucking fumes me up something chronic

YANBU. Especially annoying when OP has admitted they were BU on page 5, yet on page 10 there are people still laying into them.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 02/08/2017 20:46

I missed cancel the cheque. Would someone link it please?

OP, I can't always be arsed to read thread.
Sometimes it's am advantage. Sometimes it's like shooting myself in the foot.
But hating people for it is quite harsh. Trust me om this, I know. I am Queen of Drama

ConstanceCraving · 02/08/2017 20:47

Ah ok! Yes they bug me too along with the ones slagging the MIL off for coming round to do the ironing and minding the kids whilst they go out to work.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 02/08/2017 20:51

Alexandra

That is fucking annoying!
I belong to a few FB crochet groups and it happens all the time!

OP: "I made this ripple stitch blanket by Attic24 for my daughter, used Stylecraft Special DK"
15 replies: " Aaww that's lovely! What pattern is it?" and at least one going "I'm not sure about pink for a boy but it's nice"

ChasingHighs · 02/08/2017 20:52

No one cares about the OP on MiL threads, they are too busy piling in with stories about their own evil MiLs..

EmotionalTeaspoon · 02/08/2017 20:53

What's worse is the ones that can't even read the first post properly e.g. "DD and DS are 5 and 12...."(goes on to elaborate). First response "OP, how old are your kids?" Just...aaaarrrrgghh!

ILoveGrammar0 · 02/08/2017 20:55

Is there an option to see just the OP's posts without having to go to advanced search?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/08/2017 20:55

Well quite, mils can't do no right for doing wrong. ''Tis the mn rule. You can envisage the mn massive with a Shock face at a positive mil story.

Yadnbu

GinaFordCortina · 02/08/2017 20:59

It's an Internet forum. I answer the OP not the 10090675 posts afterword. If the op wants a different answer she can start another thread. Quite often I will be reading something and after being interrupted 10 times find I've been left behind anyway and it looks like I haven't rtft thoughnive tried

Booboobooboo84 · 02/08/2017 21:00

Also not a fan of boob to sleep. Just imagine some poor wee mite being smothered by a gigantic tit.

People who misread the op or completely fabricate something and then subsequent posters run with it deserve a special place in hell though. I do think some intentional 'misread' though

LadyPeterWimsey · 02/08/2017 21:02

YANBU in any way whatsoever. You are the Queen of Reasonableness.

Why can't MNHQ make it the default the the OP's posts are highlighted? It would solve so many problems. (If you don't know this exists, dear readers, go and have a little play around in your settings.)

And along the same lines, why these incessant place-marking posts? Just watch the thread, for crying out loud. On some threads that would save about 75% of posts and the rest of us wouldn't have to do so much scrolling to find the OP's posts, so it wouldn't be so wearying to find out what is going on.

ChasingHighs · 02/08/2017 21:02

I will admit to sometimes only answering the OP. I'm sure my witty and insightful reply is all they need Grin

FadedRed · 03/08/2017 16:34

The very annoying place marking will continue until MNHQ decides to put the delete message on 'watched' threads or has a 'deleted threads messages' topic. Thoroughly irritated by threads that are 90% place marking, I usually get bored and stop reading them.

No doubt resulting in horrendous, claustrophobic nightmares for the next twenty years Grin

Not RTFT is a heinous crime, as are OPs who, when the thread isn't going their way, then drip feed to such a ridiculous extent, desperate to change posters' opinions, which doesn't really work and they then ask MNHQ to close the the thread. Very bad form. Oh and I have a special place in my private hell for those who post reverse OPs.

OliviaStabler · 03/08/2017 16:51

It is as bad as posting in AIBU and when the answer is a resounding yes, they argue they are not Angry

ConstanceCraving · 03/08/2017 16:57

Or when it's not an AIBU question but they post for traffic.
