I've seen him run live a few times (Ds a huge fan) and the thing that struck me each time was his huge respect for other athletes. When he walks into a stadium the whole place erupts and he plays up to the crowd which they love but as soon as there is another event happening he quietens the crowd down to make sure other competitors aren't disturbed. And he makes a big thing of celebrating other athletes achievements.

I have seen him in real life (that sounds odd). He seemed very nice and polite to all of the people around him.

I think he's great but don't admire sprinters as much as distance runners. Bolt seems ok but I hate the way loads of sprinters seem so arrogant and hate the disproportionate attention given to "the fastest man". Marathon runners run 5 minute miles or less for 26 fucking miles. Have you ever tried to run at that pace? It's basically sprinting for over two hours, not less than ten seconds. Sprinting = meh.

I'm usually the first to jump down anyone's throat on these sorts of issues. The hyper-sexualisation of black individuals; men in particular, the adoption of black culture as 'en vogue' and so forth. But here, on this particular thread I haven't seen any evidence of this. If you have please point it out. I can't see how pointing out a man who happens to be the fastest man on earth is attractive is hyper-sexualising him because he happens to be black.

So you can find a guy sexually attractive, admire his dedication to his field, his attitude to the sport and his fans ( not the cheating on his gf) but it's not ok cos he is black?

Not one person has said he is sexy just because he is black.
