Weird name to call child?

BootsWithDresses · 28/07/2017 21:10

The baby was born prematurely and so they decided to call him Prem.

Is that weird?

OP posts:
WiganPierre · 28/07/2017 21:57

Is his middle name Achoor? Or Eeah Inn? Prem is a common name so I don't think people will take much notice to be honest. Though it is weird to name someone after the circumstances of their birth. What's next? Our lovely girl Ova Dew. Our little boy Ian Deuced.

Ds1 is Spleen
DTD1 Chlamydia and DTD2 Candida.

Beautiful names alll.

DontWannaBeObamasElf · 28/07/2017 22:04

OP I wonder if we know the same Prem......although the one I know isn't a baby.

Whatsername17 · 28/07/2017 22:06

I love a good baby name thread! It's unusual, I'll give them that. I have a boo boo and a squidge. Not their real names, but the ones I use when talking to them. Dd1 actually gets quite upset if I don't call her boo.

Catra · 28/07/2017 22:18

No weirder than calling your child born with the help of fertility treatment Ivy F.

In other words, extremely weird.

nursy1 · 28/07/2017 22:23

My friend had a very fast at home labour. Her baby was born on the toilet and they actually had to fish her out from the U bend. They called her Lou Lou.
I kid you not.

bubblesquirrel · 28/07/2017 22:27

As if.

Catra · 28/07/2017 22:30

I'm a teacher, trust me anything goes these days!

Yep, me too. I've taught a Petit Dejeuner, a Passion Night and a Diaz Cameron to name but a few.

Catra · 28/07/2017 22:32

Oh, and a Saddam Hussein!

namechange20050 · 28/07/2017 22:35

Balonz would be better.

ParadiseCity · 28/07/2017 22:35

Shit I missed a trick. I could've called DS Von Toos. And DD could've been Paul.

CaoNiMartacus · 28/07/2017 22:35

Well my best friend's neighbour's uncle's twin's wife taught a child named La-a, so nerr.

Hmm
mumoseven · 28/07/2017 22:41

Dd1 would have been ET, if we're going on looks!
Dd3 - we said 'god doesn't she look like you' at the same time

Both beautiful girls now!

adifferentnameforthis · 28/07/2017 23:08

@Catra - really?? Shock

AllMagicComesWithAPriceDearie · 28/07/2017 23:14

Gonna wake the whole house up

Mum2jenny · 28/07/2017 23:39

Prempal is a typical Indian name, not too unusual.

Catra · 29/07/2017 08:20

@adifferentnameforthis

I kid you not. I wish I was joking.

DrHorribletookmycherry · 29/07/2017 08:42

Chardonnay and Chianti. Sisters who live nextdoor to DD's friend.

NicolasFlamel · 29/07/2017 08:57

😂😂 I hope all of this is BS

Alltheusernamesalreadyinuse · 29/07/2017 09:16

Don't do it OP! Your dc will have to live with that their whole life! Imagine job interviews, secondary school, etc... they will not thatnkbyou for it!

steff13 · 29/07/2017 09:22

DTD2 Candida.

I think you're joking, but I have a real life friend who middle name is Candida.

RhubardGin · 29/07/2017 09:43

Sure Hmm

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 29/07/2017 09:57

Candida is a real name. It is not that uncommon. John Betjeman's daughter was called Candida Lycett- Green and published several books includijng editing her father's letters. She was also one of the founding team of Private Eye.
