Am I being oversensitive and U?

Would you be hurt if you found out someone who you considered a friend was describing you to others as overweight + hair colour?

Conversation went like this
A - Oh I see you've met shelves
B, C, D, - oh who? Few people with that name here
A - the overweight redhead

Now I'm 5'7 and 11.3 stone and I think I look pretty good. I feel hurt but feel that I am overreacting. I just think there were many other words that could've been used to describe me, and that overweight was unnecessary.

How do you know that that was how she described you?

Super mean and she's shown her true colours!!!

SapphireStrange · 25/07/2017 16:22

Hair colour, fine (unless they said 'bad dye job' or something like my hair)

But 'overweight'? I'd NEVER describe a friend that way.

SapphireStrange · 25/07/2017 16:22

Oh, strikeout fail.

KimmySchmidt1 · 25/07/2017 16:22

My question is this: who is the scheming sh1t stirring bitch that told you about it? Hmmm? Are they really your friend?

marmaladeforme · 25/07/2017 16:24

I heard a 'friend' of mine say exactly the same about me. I'd phoned her and she was talking about me as she answered the phone. I told her I'd heard her but she denied it.

Loopytiles · 25/07/2017 16:24

Mean of her.

livefornaps · 25/07/2017 16:28

She's not your friend!

mrsRosaPimento · 25/07/2017 16:31

You're not overweight.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 25/07/2017 17:23

Doubt DH was trying to stir shit 😂

To be honest, even if she said chubby/chunky or something among those lines would've been fine, but overweight seems like a personal dig as this woman is health obsessed and organic and all that while I eat healthy but not that healthy.

i think overweight sounds worse than calling someone big, and tbh, at 11 stone and 5ft 7 I wouldnt have thought it was a particularly good way to describe you anyway

GiBlues · 25/07/2017 18:38

It doesn't matter if it's true or not, (which from what you've said about your height and weight I would say it isn't!) a "friend" should never describe you like that.Angry

I'd have naff all to do with her after that. LTB

Loopytiles · 26/07/2017 09:42

Her own body / food issues affecting her behaviour, perhaps. Doesn't excuse it of course.
