After all modern life is rubbish, we are all common people and you just need to roll with it?

When you're laying in bed at night
Watching 'roaches climb the wall
If you called your dad he could stop it

Everyone needs a bosom for a pillow.

MagicalMrsMistoffelees · 23/07/2017 22:30

There's a picture by his first wife on the wall
Stripped floorboards in the kitchen and the hall
A stain from last week's party on the stairs
No one knows who made it or how it ever got there
They were dancing with children round their legs
Talking business, books and records, art and sex
All things being considered you'd call it a success
You wore your black dress...
He's an architect and such a lovely guy
And he'll stay with you until the day you die
And he'll give you everything you could desire
Oh well almost everything - everything that he can buy
So you sometimes go out in the afternoon
Spend an hour with your lover in his bedroom
Hear the old women rolling trolleys down the road
Back to Lyndhurst Grove....

BoysofMelody · 23/07/2017 22:31

We all know you're soft cos we've all seen you dancing, we all know you're hard cos we've all seen you drinking from noon until noon again

MagicalMrsMistoffelees · 23/07/2017 22:35

Is there someone else or am I too familiar?
Was it when I said I wanted to have children?
Tore up all your photos didn't feel too clever
Spent the whole of Sunday sticking you together

MagicalMrsMistoffelees · 23/07/2017 22:37

northernruth · 23/07/2017 23:16

Slowly your beauty is eaten away by the scent of someone else, in the blanket where we lay

NevermindtheBollocks · 23/07/2017 23:17

She walks in beauty like the night
Discarding her clothes in the plastic flowers
Pornographic and tragic in black and white
My Marilyn come to my slum for an hour
I'm aching to see my heroine
I'm aching been dying for hours and hours
