I've tried for the last 3 weeks but can't cope with the head aches. I don't drink got drinks and only water at work. My go to drink always used to be squash but I was then introduced to Pepsi max. I only have a glass or 2 or a can a day but I really notice it if I don't have it.
If I hadn't just sent dh to the shop to buy tea and coke I would try again. This will be my last bottle I hope

cans?

i've been drinking a 1.75l bottle almost daily for the last year!

i read a story ages back in the paper - police found a large haul of cocaine near a coca cola factory.........i'm sure that's their secret ingredient - cos funnily enough i've never felt addicted to Fanta/7Up/Sprite........

I'm trying to cut out all aspartame containing drinks. 3 days so far...

Louiselouie0890 · 20/07/2017 20:11

I was bad on it I'd have a bottle every two days and didn't drink anything else. I wasn't too bad giving it up and really enjoy water now and was amazed how much better I felt not just my body but my mind I didn't just wanna slump around all day.

I've just quit drinking diet coke as I am flat arsed broke used to drink 2 litres a day Blush. Had a hellish day yesterday with headaches. I've switched to squash, ice cold squash.

I am a proper Diet Coke addict. I did cut it out a while ago and felt much better. I'm going to give it up after the summer holidays again.

Mimimouse4 · 20/07/2017 20:39

I did this just over a month ago and it was hard but I believe drinking as many cans as I did a day actually effected my health!

I am just drinking water now and I don't even fancy a can. I feel so much better and have a lot less headaches and not as tired x

I'm just posting to wish you luck. I haven't struggled with this (have my own vices though!) But a lot of my family struggle with this and have weight, health and teeth issues. Maybe google the effects of drinking coke for some aversion therapy. I still remember reading an article decades ago that some manufacturer sent the by product to be dumped in a 3rd world country as it was toxic and didn't degrade. How awful!

BabychamSocialist · 20/07/2017 20:41

I drink quite a lot of it, but it's my only vice. I don't smoke, do drugs or drink (well, I do, but barely).

Good for you giving it up though!
