So a couple of days after his sexist views are aired apparently public sector workers are overpaid link

How can he be so out of touch?

Awful. Ambulance workers and nurses are living in poverty.

I think if you banned the unions from the public sector it would actually help matters. Unions have had there day, they are no longer relevant in a modern workplace

Unions are still very relevant and it would be extremely foolish to ban them, especially with Brexit and the potential loss of employee rights that are protected by the EU.

I would like a 1%pay rise and a decent pension but haven't had either in a long time neither have most co-workers as work in the private sector. Earn the same now as 2008!

As usual a race to the bottom argument from the government. How about paying everyone a decent hourly rate that reflects the real cost of living. Then we wouldn't be having this argument.

Local government salaries vary according to location. So it isn't right to say if you are a social worker in Wales you get the same as in London.

Our pensions are getting worse. They were good as they compensated for the low pay. Now this isn't the case. New staff will not get lump sums. They Do not have the opportunity to take 25% of their pension in lump sums in lieu of lower annual pension. Their pensions are frozen if deferred.

Let's try and get everyone paid their worth.

My local councillors have just rewarded themselves with 13% pay rise. Council staff are looking at 1% pay rise - now that is wrong whichever side you are on.
