To ask - is this just me? Sweaty groin!

I'm so sorry for even asking, but here goes...

When it's hot, or when I exercise, or make a presentation at work, I sweat. Now, when I'm running, it's ok, I get hot and sweat all over. I get really red too, which I hate, but it comes with the territory.

However, on hot days or when I'm nervous, I sweat a lot in my groin. It's definitely not discharge, but (sorry) I basically have wet pants, from the edges coming in, in crescent shaped wet patches. It is so bad I have to change, and it feels really uncomfortable.

Is it normal to sweat so much you need to change pants when it's hot? Hoping for some solidarity here, but I understand if you don't want to answer Grin. Really sorry for lowering the tone Blush

Dunno if it's normal but I do this too- absolutely hate it! Though I do also think I'm a generally sweaty (though not smelly) person- I "glow" a lot!!

But yes I feel your "crescent of sweat in the pants" pain!!

Migraleve · 15/07/2017 19:27

I get sweaty too so I wear panty liners every day.

RochelleGoyle · 15/07/2017 19:27

This happens to me when I'm really hot (and sweating elsewhere). I'm a bit overweight and I'm sure that doesn't help.

RJnomore1 · 15/07/2017 19:29

I get this when I exercise. I think it's fairly normal?

I get it too. Lovely to meet fellow 'crescent of sweat' sufferers Grin

Highlyinternational · 15/07/2017 19:37

It's normal. I get it sometimes but mine is anxiety related. Dust with talc in the groin area or wear wide pads.

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 15/07/2017 19:38

Yes when I exercise or am particularly hot. I sweat a lot though-apparently its healthy.

Sparklepants · 15/07/2017 19:38

Me too! I leave a lovely mark on sears when I stand up. Blush

MaisieDotes · 15/07/2017 19:42

I get this sometimes, I think I remember in my "book about puberty" that I got when I was 12, it said underarms and ground are the top sweaty places in the body, so I'm sure everyone's the same?

sparkle there was a thread about that recently. Fanny condensation it's called, apparently.

MaisieDotes · 15/07/2017 19:43

Groin not ground Confused

ProfessorBranestawm · 15/07/2017 19:46

Relieved to read this thread and see it's not just me!

Mari50 · 15/07/2017 19:46

I get so sweaty I often check that I don't have sweat stains in my crotch or that the chair I'm using is damp. It's hideous. I don't wear pantyliners as they seem to make it worse- they 'draw' me as my mum would say!
I used to sweat terribly from my underarms, I used driclor religiously for about six months. My pits are fine now but my feet and my fanny are sweaty city. Yuk!! Sympathy OP

SouthChinaMorningPost · 15/07/2017 19:50

I think fanny condensation is worse if you are walking around with bald bits?

thatorchidmoment · 15/07/2017 20:00

33 weeks pregnant here and have definitely got swamp crotch: ick! I also change underwear a couple of times a day and go through more panty liners than usual. I think it's mostly hormonal with me, although yy to sweatiness there when exercising!

Mrsmartell08 · 15/07/2017 20:01

Yep me too

Pomtastic · 15/07/2017 20:08

Yes same here - rubbish isn't it. Can't stand the damp underwear feeling & can go through 4 changes a day in summer!

DavetheCat2001 · 15/07/2017 20:08

and me! I change my pants about 3 times a day!

MistyKnightsTwistout · 15/07/2017 20:11

Yep, sweat crescents here. Change pants and liner sometimes three times a day. I cannot cope with any heat at all. It's been a lot cooler today so I've managed to keep the same things on, much easier!

Teaformeplease · 15/07/2017 20:12

Don't put talc in your knickers or on your crotch, it's been linked to ovarian cancer.

kingfishergreen · 15/07/2017 20:13

Whenever I see the crescents I think: "ooo go me, I've been inadvertently doing exercise" and then dread sitting in a dark-colour plastic chair for the rest of the day.

thebigbluedustbin · 15/07/2017 20:14

Me too. Hate it!

StinkyMcgrinky · 15/07/2017 20:15

Swamp crotch Grin

I'm the same, especially if I'm wearing synthetic fabric trousers, I've mastered a 'glide and stand' movement for getting off plastic chairs at work. I've found femfresh deodorant helps Blush

chocolatespiders · 15/07/2017 20:16

I have this dread getting good practice from plastic chair at college or hairdressers as it's wet.

I use femfresh powder (hard to find nowdays) or vagisil powder which helps

chocolatespiders · 15/07/2017 20:17
  • up from.... not good practise!
