To ask you your best hangover cures

So today we're off to MILs house for a family gathering. I have a horrendous hangover we went out for a quick dinner yesterday and didn't roll in til one. I need to not look and feel like I've been at an all night party. Help!

Full fat coke and salt and vinegar crisps, with painkillers, lie on the sofa, and Netflix

Book marking this as I'm just off out for an afternoon/evening/late night drinking bonanza so know I'll be feeling awful in the morning!

So far I've had the coke, salty crisps and DH has just made us ham baguettes.
I'm going to put enough make up on for a circus full of clowns and hope for the best!

I am really intrigued in the sex curing hangover. Is this just an excuse or does it actually work? I may have to get seriously drunk tonight 😂

Remember if you are drunk you can not consent to sex so must not do it.

Skippy - it really does work honestly!! Especially so if you orgasm. When we're hungover the conversation goes "oh I feel awful, shall we have a bangover?" - 10 minutes later and the world is ok again!

Sports drink and paracetamol upon waking. Bacon and tomato sandwich when you can stomach it. In between lots of water and a bit of crystallised ginger. Brisk walk. Later in the afternoon cook a roast chicken.

Said on Saturday kitchen this morning that rosemary tea is an excellent cure, must put it to the test.

Joandmax...told my Dh im getting drunk tonight. He said ok why? Told him I want to work out if a certain hangover cure works. Told him what it was. He then listed all the alcohol we have. He may try to tirn me into a big drinker

Sex with a hangover does work.

Preemptive strikes I swear by are

• pint of water with diaoralyte in (sorry for ooor spelling fuck knows what it really is)
• two an annadin extra
• something salty and carry like a ready salted crisp sandwich!
• cup of tea.

Or just have young children and babies. One hangover with these small creatures never forgotten.

Next day at a juncture when not considered too outrageous (not at work, your mother's, the supermarket) a hefty gin & tonic.

No wine. Ever.

I'm 23 weeks pregnant, and have forgotten what a hangover feels like. Am insanely jealous

Irn bru and a fry up

Fresh air works wonders, dioralyte is also the bees knees and if you can face it a huge cooked breakfast!

Strong coffee, two paracetamol, sausage sandwich and a galaxy caramel.

'bangover'

Ibuprofen and two litres of water on waking, then later on Thai food.

Two co-codamol and a lucozade sport before bed. Lucozade sport has the electrolytes like dyoralite but without the vomit inducing taste and texture.

Co-codamol and lucozade sport on waking, sex, ibuprofen then kfc.

Works every time.

The no hangover with vodka doesn't work with me, I usually drink vodka and have had some stonking hangovers from it. I couldn't say whether it's less likely to give a hangover than wine because I can't stand the stuff.

Lucozade sipped daintily like an invalid. Grilled bacon sandwich with no butter. Two paracetamol. Job done.

I can confirm that sex does take the edge off...DH is very pleased that he 'cured me' with his penis.

Can you lend me your DH's penis in the morning? I'm going to be exceptionally unwell tomorrow. Sambuca you see.

Sex probably is the best cure but as someone who's never had sex I can guarantee that drinking more is a great hangover cure.

Sambuca FFS. I cannot drink that.
