Just wondering what would attract you to someone instantly to become friends?
Mine is, if the other person is polite and kind.
What's your's?

Ok I am obviously neither as I wouldn't have to ask this but what's the difference between being intellectual and being intelligent?! Blush

mogulfield · 12/07/2017 22:48

Good energy, funny, meaningful conversation (I find small talk very tedious).

ticketytock1 · 13/07/2017 00:00

Kindness, compassion, a work ethic, supportive and open to being supported. Just nice people who are open minded, tolerant of those who chose to live differently.
I hate people who are snide, bitchy, fake, jealous, lazy, entitled, dramatic, self centred, precious!

RosaDeZoett · 13/07/2017 00:26

Honesty, integrity and a good dose of self deprecating wit. Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused Smile

I like over sharers too (I am one!) - people who are happy to share their more controversial opinions and personal stories straight away and don't waste time with polite chitchat. Though obviously, the controversial opinions have to match mine 😄

Intelligent
Funny and self deprecating
Appears to like me!

A dry sense of humour, similar to mine. An ability to laugh at themselves, a love of wine and gin and I'm your bestie for life 😂
Can't bare bitching, I'll always wonder what you say about me behind my back

Slinkymalinky1 · 13/07/2017 01:00

Oh and also can't bare jealousy within a friendship, if you can't be happy for your friend, then you are not a friend

Want2beme · 13/07/2017 20:24

I had a great friend a few years back. We had really good fun. She's kind, loving, a bloody good laugh, great organiser, unlike me, generous and easy to be with. Sadly, we've lost touch cos she's extremely unreliable and that drove me crazy. I'd like to have a friend like that, but a bit more on the reliable side!

Someone with a bit of oomph about them. Someone funny, kind, has opinions on things, family orientated. And if they're a bit of a foodie, then fantastic.
