To think this song can't be serious. Please tell me it was created as a joke?

Just came across this song and video on my youtube. Apparently it reached number 1!

I'm traumatised from just watching it!

It was meant as a joke surely?

OP posts:

"I'll make your legs shake, you make me go crazy" oh god, I used to sing that around the house.
Blush

Ollivander84 · 10/07/2017 21:21

I went to some concert thing on the prom before all saints were big and they sung there. Also performing were clock and Kavana... must have been around 1997?

Reastie · 10/07/2017 21:21

Greebols Grin

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 10/07/2017 21:22

That don't impress me much and man I feel like a woman were of their time too. Did anyone else sing those and spice girls songs on the walk home from school with their friends?

Ollivander84 · 10/07/2017 21:22

YouTube is now suggesting En Vogue. That's my evening gone while I warble in the kitchen then

MaureenDodd · 10/07/2017 21:22

Ah Gina G! What year did she do Just A Little Bit at Eurovision? I remember having a drunken conversation about the merits of that song and it not "just" being a Eurovision song.

I also remember dancing my skinny ass off to it in a nightclub in Northampton. I'd gone out in a pair of long, black, floaty trousers which had a skirt sewn in over the top. I looked the bee's knees, I tell you.

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 10/07/2017 21:23

Does anyone else remember Honeyz?
If you want me to go
Then say it
Want me to stay
Then show it …

squoosh · 10/07/2017 21:24

OP you are clearly a mere toddler as B*witched only released that song about 6 years ago.

LilaBard · 10/07/2017 21:24

I was in the car recently with my 18 year old brother, and for some reason he didn't appreciate when I turned the volume up for sex on the beach? And then sang along loudly
Same for Oh Carolina, but that might have been because I was making all the words up that weren't "oh" or indeed "carolina".

ememem84 · 10/07/2017 21:24

And 5ive. who can forget 5ive.

If ya gettin down

SerfTerf · 10/07/2017 21:26

People my DCs' age are on MN! SadShock

MyPatronusIsAUnicorn · 10/07/2017 21:26

I thought you were talking about this pineapple pen from the title. This must be a piss take (warning, if you watch it it WILL get stuck in your head and your DCs will probably love it).

C'est La Vie, whilst utter shite, is a totally legitimate song! And very 90s and 90s had bloody good pop music (not counting Boyzone).

NonStopDisco · 10/07/2017 21:26

What about "I'm horny, horny horny horny" no idea what it meant as a kid! Someone explained it and we all thought they were very grown up.

Coffeeandcrochet · 10/07/2017 21:26

m.youtube.com/watch?v=VcDy8HEg1QY

I'm just leaving this here...

Reastie · 10/07/2017 21:27

Ok, I've got the cheesiest I can think of. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Adam Rickett.

EccentricPickle · 10/07/2017 21:27

Aw, look at all the synchronised, cheesy dance routines! Not a twerk or grind in sight.

honeysucklejasmine · 10/07/2017 21:27

Aww man! I'm only 31, this is not ok!! C'est la vie was the first song I purchased on CD. Not cassette tape, like all that came before... An actual cd!
