My (male) boss said that my shoes are very sexually alluring and maybe not suitable for the office!!

They have heeled black shoes, nothing special. I don't even think they look particularly nice (got them in the sale and they were good quality so thought they would do around the office).

Are they too sexy for the office?

I honestly just see simple black boots!

pleasuring himself to a Freemans catalogue haha Grin

bigtapdancingpimp · 10/07/2017 19:51

He totally fancies you OP Shock Start wearing wellies from now on Grin

One of our delivery guys commented on my toes last week; is a foot fetish still a thing? Confused

Inappropriate comment. Screw a big promotion out of him.

SerfTerf · 10/07/2017 19:54

Is this a roundabout way of asking us how sexy the shoes are? (They're not.) A variation on "my friend" questions? Wink

Notevilstepmother · 10/07/2017 19:54

Your boss is being inappropriate. Speak to HR.

Maryhadalittlelambstew · 10/07/2017 19:55

They're from clarks...of course they're not alluring!!

JustHereForThePooStories · 10/07/2017 19:56

He had ish-shoes (boom, tish)

Arealhumanbeing · 10/07/2017 19:57

Your boss needs to mind his language.

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 10/07/2017 19:58

Get thyself to Ecco or Van Dal if you need to calm him down Grin

britbat23 · 10/07/2017 20:01

In case nobody else has mentioned it, you can probably make a few extra quid selling him your shoes every few months Grin

e1y1 · 10/07/2017 20:03

Sounds like he does have a shoe fetish.

They look fine for the office, and (remaining polite) they're NOWHERE near seductive.

Now, if they were these

HelsinkiLights · 10/07/2017 20:06

He's obviously on glue!

Coddiwomple · 10/07/2017 20:06

I have a pair in dark red!

I can't see what is too sexy in them Confused I would find them to casual for work with a skirt, but perfect with trousers.

Unless you are wearing a mini skirt and he's commenting on the shoes for fear of being inappropriate, I really don't know what the issue is.

chips4teaplease · 10/07/2017 20:06

Those are hot shoes. But not unsuitable for work.

NotYoda · 10/07/2017 20:08

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

toconclude · 10/07/2017 20:08

Utter rubbish and your boss needs to control himself. Sexist and borderline sexual harassment.

Ceto · 10/07/2017 20:09

Go in wearing Uggs or, if it's hot, [[https://www.camper.com/en_GB/men/shoes/marges/camper-marges-K100179-001?gclid=Cj0KEQjwy4zLBRCOg6-4h6vs3cUBEiQAN-yzfkgi-thKSg0RoYlp7iQwx2zkEcjOSXbgqkz27WmQJ-caAmI78P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds these]

RhubardGin · 10/07/2017 20:12

Are you sure he wasn't being sarcastic?

Blush

Sorry OP.

Kikibanana86 · 10/07/2017 20:13

Oh god he was definitely joking Grin

Kikibanana86 · 10/07/2017 20:13

They're the frumpiest shoes I've seen for a while and were on mumsnet , the home of frump!

Kikibanana86 · 10/07/2017 20:14

2017SoFarSoGood · 10/07/2017 20:17

if it wasn't so darned rude to talk about your shoes I'd say poor man. Lovely shoes, and wish I had them, but that's not the point.

Worked with a guy who for years held a contest for best holiday party shoes. Took me quite some time to figure out he was a foot fetish fiend. Each to his/her own I say, but can't believe we all lined up to let him get close up view of our party feet without figuring it out. Or maybe it was only me who remained unenlightened Grin

LanaDReye · 10/07/2017 20:19

I would like to know how the conversation ran that it was appropriate for him to comment on your clothing...seems an odd thing to suddenly say?

AdoraBell · 10/07/2017 20:23

DH, who has both worked in offices and had staff working for him, says it makes no sense. As in he can't see what your boss is seeing. They are just shoes.
