My (male) boss said that my shoes are very sexually alluring and maybe not suitable for the office!!

They have heeled black shoes, nothing special. I don't even think they look particularly nice (got them in the sale and they were good quality so thought they would do around the office).

Are they too sexy for the office?

I honestly just see simple black boots!

IMHO, he is either:

a) taking the piss
b) has a foot fetish
c) is particularly Religious
d) fancies you

If he actually said the words 'sexually alluring', I'd plump for a).

topcat2014 · 10/07/2017 19:27

Perfectly normal Clarks shoes in my view.

It is not possible for any Clarks shoes to be alluring - everyone knows that.

topcat2014 · 10/07/2017 19:28

@SL - I used to have a colleague who wore those or similar - now, they did make a statement around the office.

ShowOfHands · 10/07/2017 19:28

Are you accessorising them with a whip?

frugaloo · 10/07/2017 19:28

Oh he was being serious!

They're quite high. Maybe that's the issue!

You WHORE!
Bwa-ha-ha!
He is a very strange man and his comment was inappropriate in the circumstances. I'd ignore and if he questions your footwear again, say you disagree and his comments are making you feel a bit awkward.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 10/07/2017 19:29

Clarks; practical, smart and comfortable.. seductive? No.

Aquamarine1029 · 10/07/2017 19:29

Something is seriously wrong and creepy with your boss. Seriously. Those shoes are totally office appropriate.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 10/07/2017 19:31

I agree, he sounds creepy as hell.

Pumpkinnose · 10/07/2017 19:33

Completely inappropriate comment from your boss.

Sparkletastic · 10/07/2017 19:34

Your boss is a dirty perv who wants to shag you.

HTH

HopefullyAnonymous · 10/07/2017 19:35

I used to work with a much older man who had a foot/shoe fetish. He used to comment frequently on my heels. My leaving gift from the team ended up being a pair of louboutins Shock mostly paid for by him, followed by a Facebook message asking to take me out for dinner wearing them. I'm married, he's married. I didn't go, but who knows perhaps it's the same guy and you're about to receive an expensive unwearable gift!

Jaynesworld · 10/07/2017 19:36

😂 your boss must be sexuallly frustrated and is probably pleasuring himself to a freemans catalogue if he finds those shoes sexy.

Leilaniii · 10/07/2017 19:36

Oh dear. I think maybe he was joking? Sorry to say that. Maybe he was serious. Actually, I don't know what is worse.

TheDowagerCuntess · 10/07/2017 19:37

Not sure why people are saying he has a foot/shoe fetish, as these shoes clearly would not trigger it.

How inappropriate of him.

Ignore him, wear the shoes, and if he deigns to bring it up again, send him the link highlighting the functionality of the shoes and suggest he now desist from talking about your clothing and appearance ever again. It's none of his business.

frugaloo · 10/07/2017 19:37

footwearfetish.co.uk/pleaser-adore-701fl-3583

Maybe I should go in in these?

OP posts:
frugaloo · 10/07/2017 19:38

Oh I am positively sure he wanks while thinking about me.

He's never said anything inappropriate before though

RestlessTraveller · 10/07/2017 19:38

The fact that the op was about shoes being too sexy followed by a Clarks link made me howl with laughter.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/07/2017 19:40

Hard to believe we're in the 21st century, when these knuckle-dragging neanderthal bosses are still commenting on what women wear to work. Bet he doesn't bother about the menz shoez.... Angry

Smitff · 10/07/2017 19:40

Haha. I didn't even bother opening the link. They're from Clarks!

Do you work in a monastery??

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 10/07/2017 19:40

He is the office equivalent of this man and you are his Charlotte

are these shoes REALLY seductive
kittybiscuits · 10/07/2017 19:42

I like your shoes. They are appropriate for work. I don't like your boss. He isn't.

nina2b · 10/07/2017 19:45

I see one of those two as odd boss:

napmeistergeneral · 10/07/2017 19:45

What Cheekichi said. Your boss isn't allowed to say that to you. Don't put up with it.

WomblingThree · 10/07/2017 19:47

Have you named changed to post this OP or are you the one with the foot fetish?
