I'd say the popcorn is the least of your worries, given how little respect you have for your Husband. I'm sure someone will be along to tell you he's being controlling because he eats more popcorn than you, which will help justify the way you talk about him.

I get where you're coming from, OP. I've stopped bringing out snacks when a particular friend of my partner's comes round because even if it's something like nuts he shovels handfuls into his face without a thought for sharing. Plus I'm not convinced he washes his hands after going to the toilet so the idea of eating anything he's touched makes me feel sick

I'm a 2 piece by 2 piece with popcorn and a one by one with crisps. My husband is a shoveller. Snack eating incompatibility is something that needs boundaries drawing up.

I usually do piece by piece but I bought a pack of peanut butter and caramel popcorn yesterday (at Lidl but not a Lidl brand) and I realized I started to shovel, it was just so good. I had to force myself to slow down and not waste all that deliciousness.
