Seriously- someone left the gate open at Cheeky Fuckerland this week!

It's my birthday in 9 days. (Actually, it's my bday on Monday- but I'm celebrating in 9 days). I don't usually do anything, but it seems like an absolute age since we all got together, so I've organized a curry night at home. A few mates and their kids, music, etc.

I've got a whatsapp group (lazy, couldn't be arsed to send the same text 170 times😂), which the girl in question is a part of. It's been a bit of a riot on there (people suggesting silly themes, etc, all good fun). She hasn't said a word on it.

She pinged me privately and said "my five are excited about next Saturday- they love Aunty Radley's cooking", etc, etc. And then the clanger (I think)

"What time is (my DH) picking them up? It'll have to be before 3 because I've arranged to go out".

Um...HUH?

I said she must have got her wires crossed- she was invited WITH the DC, and I've askrd everyone to arrive at about 5.30-6! (This is why I mentioned the Whatsapp group btw- these details have been mentioned several times on there, with people joking that they'd be arriving by private jet 😂).

Answer: "They'll be fine coming to yours early. I'll bang their sleeping bags in the boot and DH can drop them off about 3pm on Sunday".

I haven't replied.

I don't want to be responsible for five other kids without their parent there! We have no room for them to sleep over either! My DC share a room in a two bedroomed apartment. It'll be a squeeze getting everyone in on Saturday night, but that's always part of the fun.

In a nutshell:

Am I being selfish? I want to let my hair down as much as I can that night- anyone who's read my other active thread will know it's been a stressful month, and I need it!

If IANBU, please help me craft a reply.

If IABU and completely selfish, help me somehow work out a sleepover arrangement? How practical is it to squeeze 7 kids into one roome? (DB will be sleeping over in the lounge, and he snores like a lawnmower on acid, so impossible to share a room with, much as I love him)

?????

Ah no, ALL ROADS, I'll leave my three with DH in Australia and have a lovely, relaxing Birthday on the plane (maybe missing it completely and therefore not turning 45 😳). I just want to see this pisstaker's face when she shows up with her kids.

echt · 07/07/2017 00:41

Happy sigh.

Two excellent threads in one week.

Having thought deeply about cheeky fuckeriness, I suppose they completely normalise their own expectations vis a vis others. The first response of each of the CFs in this and the WORKzilla was, yeah, so when will you, etc. rather than a crestfallen: Oh, silly, thoughtless me.

Pretenditsaplan · 07/07/2017 00:44

@feralberyl@ i said that would happen!

@justilou@ vodka... the good kind i fear we'll need it. And a big toblerone because its the law to buy one going through duty free

Pretenditsaplan · 07/07/2017 00:44

Sorry finally learning how to tag people... i think.. kind of....

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/07/2017 00:46

If you want them to get an email notification, Pretenditsaplan, then use the @ sign only at the front.

If you just want to reply to them (because getting an email notification is annoying) then just bold their username.

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 07/07/2017 00:50

Actually, I'm a little hypocritical...

I once dumped Pretend with TWENRY kids...at two hours' notice!

Re:the cheekyfuckerism, the majority of people I've known who were like this, felt so hard done by in their lives, that they felt the world "owes them something at last" iyswim?

This is going to sound bitchy- feel free to call me on it- but people blaming their past, how they've been treated/brought up/whatever for their behavior make me cringe. I was DRAGGED up, and I'd never treat anyone like this. I'm grateful for any small thing ffs.

I don't get it.

Only corrected that one because it was in caps.

If I went through cottecting all my typos, I'd be here forever!

I'm sitting here mouth opening and shutting like a goldfish with no sound coming out. I honestly thought WORKzilla took the whole packet of biscuits but this HNF-Zilla is shaking it upside down so as not to miss any crumbs!
You're brilliant, OP, I've been giggling like a madwoman at your posts, fantastic comebacks.
Yes, the cheeky fuckers in life, you have a point about them thinking the world owes them but the ones I've met don't even have the dubious excuse of a deprived or difficult past.

Pretenditsaplan · 07/07/2017 01:10

whatto thanks i did learn years ago but it was many accounts ago.

radley You did! But to be fair to you, you had thought youd already invited us and asking me to do the facepainting when i was coming anyway wouldnt of been such a big ask. Bit shocking out of no where but it work out fine

elphabathegreenone · 07/07/2017 01:28

CosmoClock · 07/07/2017 02:02

wow, i'm a lp and i've never put even half that much pressure on my own mother to take my kids, even if she's not doing anything, i would hesitantly ask and if she didn't immediately respond positively i would drop it, I certainly wouldn't push it so i can't imagine pushing a friend to take my dc, on her birthday! when she had a party on! it beggars belief. she must know it's a huge ask.

TheMaddHugger · 07/07/2017 04:01

((((((((Hugs))))))) OP You are Fabulous My dear Happy Future Birthday 💐 🌷 🌹 🥀 🌻 🌼 🌸 🌺.May your party be a blast 🍻 🥂 🍷 🥃 🍸 🍹 🍾🍰 🎂 🍮🎁 🎈
I think you wrote you had known this B for ages but recently reconnected. Now you know why. She ran out of other people around her to shove her kids onto. She needed a new sucker. Sadly for her... It isn't you.

Could I have a link to the post mentioned above when you were talking to the police Please TIA

Groovee · 07/07/2017 05:33

Oh my goodness. I would never expect a friend to have my kids while I went off on a fuck fest!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 07/07/2017 06:22

Cheeky Fucker Anonymous must be seething at MN. Before, they used to get away with it by guilt tripping and pressuring. Now, with the support of MNers all around the world, people are standing up to them. Excellent!

olympicsrock · 07/07/2017 06:27

What a triumph of a poem! Love it!Flowers

Msqueen33 · 07/07/2017 06:39

Have an ace party. Honestly it's like cheeky fucker central this week.

rollonthesummer · 07/07/2017 07:10

Have you explained to the whatsapp group what she's done? Apologies if I missed that!

RolfNotRudolf · 07/07/2017 07:19

Am I right in thinking WORKzilla wasn't real but MN agreed to keep it up for the entertainment value?

Ceebs85 · 07/07/2017 07:26

How would this even enter anyone's head as ok?

Simple but to the point text is what's needed!

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 07/07/2017 07:26

No mn admitted they'd been a bit hasty in deleting WORKzilla. All they had was a load of people hitting report. There was nothing to actually suggest it was a troll

Am I right in thinking WORKzilla wasn't real but MN agreed to keep it up for the entertainment value?

NO, You are most incorrect. How very wrong of you to post this

eternalopt · 07/07/2017 07:51

Am I right in thinking WORKzilla wasn't real but MN agreed to keep it up for the entertainment value?

No - mnhq admitted they'd been hasty and she sent them screenshots of the texts she still had (she'd deleted most) and proved herself, so WORKzilla is real!

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 07/07/2017 08:03

MN is an absolute delight to behold this week! Extraordinary that anyone could be so obtuse as to think someone would enjoy babysitting FIVE children whilst simultaneously hosting a party, and then to top it off sleeping in a chair next to mating-lawnmowers-bloke! Shock

StrangeLookingParasite · 07/07/2017 08:08

Imagine two rusty lawnmowers, a strimmer and a chainsaw. Now imagine they're getting it on. Image in your head yet? Imagine they're in the throes of extacy- and it's all taking place in a bucket, with a microphone pointing to the bucket, and the bass turned up.

You have given this much thought.

Lovely description

RolfNotRudolf · 07/07/2017 08:10

Thankyou for answering my question. I stopped reading the thread after the MN declaration of trollness but could see it was still going, hence my assumption it was being left for entertainment. I have now seen the updates so know MN changed its stance.
Maddhugger I am wrong to ask a question? Hmm
