I have failed as a mother.
I gave my children very humdrum and boring names.
They won't get anywhere in life.....they're doomed.
What kind of name is this.....really?????

If he has another child and it's a boy, will they call him Septimus?

VanillaSugar · 05/07/2017 22:17

And if the eighth child is a girl, will she be Octavia?

Dawndonnaagain · 05/07/2017 22:18

JRM is for real I'm afraid. No, his father was a journalist. Too much money, bought his way into 'society'. He may think he's real because Daddy could afford Eton, but definite parvenu. Hence the ott approach to tweeds etc.

Stopnamechanging · 05/07/2017 22:22

Well I never Dawndonnaagain, new money indeed Grin

Dawndonnaagain · 05/07/2017 22:23

Indeed, stop.

I'd take no notice at all if it weren't for the fact he flaunts it so!

Stopnamechanging · 05/07/2017 22:24

Almost a caricature of what he thinks he should be

Butteredparsnip1ps · 05/07/2017 22:25

So, basically it's a posh version of Thing 6?

Flyinggeese · 05/07/2017 22:26

Zampa Sixtus doesn't mean 6th., you're mistaken there.

MrsFogi · 05/07/2017 22:26

I worked with a lady who called her seventh Septimus and the eighth Octavia!

BlossomCat · 05/07/2017 22:27

I think that the most shocking aspect of the whole thing, is someone has shagged him. At least six times.
The very thought of his no doubt skinny, scraggy backside pumping up and down has even put me off my fruit cider.
I'm picturing him doing the deed in a four poster bed.

I need brain bleach.

Stopnamechanging · 05/07/2017 22:27

Name meanings: Sixtus ('polished') Boniface ('reactionary') Rees-Mogg (the end of a bell)

Grin
Summerswallow · 05/07/2017 22:27

I'm so common I don't know what a 'parvenu' is, well I do now obviously.

ssd · 05/07/2017 22:30

I've never heard of a parvenu before and I dont know what it means

I can think of better names for him

Voice0fReason · 05/07/2017 22:32

Truly awful pretentious names.
Some of the individual names are fine, but all combined with some very odd ones sounds ridiculous. Nobody needs that many middle names.

ChestnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 05/07/2017 22:34

He's the hyacinth bucket of politics.

MusicForTheJiltedGeneration · 05/07/2017 22:35

@MrsMoastyToasty

To be fair, I did chuckle when I saw that photo.

My DD was due in September. But was born in October. Had I known I would have called her October. I read a fabulous book about a girl with a horse on a houseboat when I was young. She was called October and I loved it.

MusicForTheJiltedGeneration · 05/07/2017 22:36

*our Hmm fucking typos

Armi · 05/07/2017 22:36

He has strong religious convictions, does he? It explains the shagging side of it - 'Come along. It's our Christian duty to procreate but we MUST NOT ENJOY IT.'

Poor Mrs Rees-Mogg.

goodnessidontknow · 05/07/2017 22:38

UrsulaPandress I read that book too, can't for the life of me remember what it was called!
Sorry to derail!

UrsulaPandress · 05/07/2017 22:39

So much hate.

GingerRogers84 · 05/07/2017 22:40

Isn't Anselm a 12th century Archbishop of Canterbury? 😂👌🏻

quizqueen · 05/07/2017 22:41

Jacob for PM. The only honourable person in government.

KatherinaMinola · 05/07/2017 22:43

Really, Dawndonna? I've just looked him up and his father was head boy of Charterhouse according to Wiki. So not an aristo but still quite posh.

(Not that I care. I'm from a council estate.)

BikeRunSki · 05/07/2017 22:43

I bet the baby is known as Dom
