I've been made curry with pasta...

OP posts:
Huldra · 04/07/2017 18:51

Wicked, that is grim.

SaltySalt · 04/07/2017 18:53

That is fucked up

😆

jay55 · 04/07/2017 18:53

My ex lived on pasta with curry sauce from a tin as a student.

ShesNoNormanPace · 04/07/2017 18:54

Curry and rice = normal
Curry and mash = ok (ish)
Curry and chips = ace
Curry and toast = pushing it a bit
Curry and pasta = a step too far

I have a freezer full of red/brown portions of Stuff. I usually make both rice and pasta just to cover all possibilities Grin

SweetEnough · 04/07/2017 18:57

NotSoEagerBeaver only if I am too! My fussy dd will only eat curry with pasta and now I do too Blush

PhilODox · 04/07/2017 19:01

I have been known to serve chili con carne with pasta.... or bolognaise with rice when a label has dropped off in the freezer Blush

ThymeLord · 04/07/2017 19:02

Oh I love curry with pasta! Even better if it's cheap tinned curry dumped on steaming white pasta.

Itsnotwhatitseems · 04/07/2017 19:07

I feel a bit sick imagining that combo

sodablackcurrant · 04/07/2017 19:08

Rice is rank. Just me of course, ignore that.

What the F is wrong with putting a lovely curry and delightful sauce with pasta FGS?

Is it because it is not authentic or what. Surely that doesn't matter a damn, just eat and enjoy.

PurpleDaisies · 04/07/2017 19:11

It's a really odd combination. I'd just have eaten the curry sauce on its own.

IceCreamIScream · 04/07/2017 19:20

My guilty pleasure is homemade chicken curry with chicken supernoodles. I'd never serve it to anyone though (even though it's lush)

SofaToad · 04/07/2017 19:23

Korma is revolting, I wouldn't have eaten it, never mind whether it was served with pasta or not. It does look like a cream sauce though.

NotSoEagerBeaver · 04/07/2017 19:24

SweetEnough your DD is a good girl 👍. I also enjoy chicken Kiev/dippers/chargrills with pasta, fish with pasta...Pasta and beans! I think my DC and i have a pasta problem..Confused

ragged · 04/07/2017 19:24

I would eat it. Don't see a problem, tbh. You'd have the curry with nan bread.

Fresh8008 · 04/07/2017 19:28

Whats the big deal, I have it occasionally and its a quick easy meal to have. I like curry and I like pasta, they might not be posh food but they are ok for a meal.

AgentCooper · 04/07/2017 19:30

It wasn't me whole had to eat this but a friend once made 'cheesecake' with mozzarella. No joke. Apparently it was hideous. Avocado and mango were also involved somehow Grin

GreeboIsACutePussPuss · 04/07/2017 19:30

I like curry and pasta, mum was good at forgetting ingredients when shopping so we often ended up with odd combinations, bologneses and chips was a favourite and curry on jacket potatoes.

SemiNormal · 04/07/2017 19:31

Sounds disgusting but then I like cheese and tomato pizze dipped into chicken curry so what do I know ...

Oh and I also like cheese rolls (brown rolls) dipped in curry too.

Fresh8008 · 04/07/2017 19:35

bologneses and chips was a favourite and curry on jacket potatoes

Yes Yes, I had them too Smile Still do occasionally, chips/jacket potatoes go with everything

AdoraBell · 04/07/2017 19:36

Pasta can go with lots of things. Curry is not one of them, as far as I'm concerned.

YANBU.

Notso · 04/07/2017 19:40

Ewww, grim.

DC4 5 went to a friends house for tea he had a choice of fish fingers or sausages with carrots and in his words naked pasta. Odd combo in mine and his opinions.

n0ne · 04/07/2017 19:43

That makes me want to cry

RortyCrankle · 04/07/2017 19:44

I loathe curry and pasta so wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. It sounds gross.

Purplefrogshoes · 04/07/2017 19:44

Korma is grim.

Ds is two and his most favourite thing ever is pasta so he would probably love it Grin

HotelEuphoria · 04/07/2017 19:50

Good grief, revolting OP, absolutely not cricket.
