Wondering Why I was banned

I was a member of a different parenting forum, I was a member for 3 years, recently I wanted to ask a question about something personal so wanted to be anonymous as my screen name was identifiable, anyway I was banned for having more than one account (seen many people do what I did so didn't realise it was such a huge issue) anyway I have tried to sign back up again and it won't let me, even after changing my ip address, I've tried to sign up using my iPad instead of phone still won't allow it, I've cleared cookies used different emails and screen names and nothing also used wifi in Starbucks and tesco, I am banned instantly again, how are they tracking me! Any ideas what I can do! Feels really harsh I was permanently banned

And over here I used to confuse the "Fuck off Daily Mail" usernames and the Mortificados.

Who'd stick with the Sarahs when you could hang out with the Mortificados and the Fuck Off Daily Mails?

Seems odd to get banned and then not let back in with a different ip.

Maybe you live in an unusual, very rural area and you're literally the only one in that postcode using the site. Maybe the only one in the entire 3 square mile area, so it's easy to see when you come back, as they only have to look at ip location, and they can spot you.

Could you speak to admin and email them saying 'Can I PLEASE come back, I am sorry!'

Otherwise just post here for a bit and then try them in a few weeks, when the heat has died off you a bit, and the dust has settled. Hopefully by say, late July, they will have forgotten about you! (Still post here occasionally though.)

@RaspberryBeretHoopla I kept trying to go back as i made quite a few friends there. I eventually moved the friendships on whatsapp and real life,but I was quite sad when i was banned(the first,second and third time). Once I found ways to keep in touch,and found mumsnet I barely use it.

I can't even remember when my ban is up, much less remember my password 😂

I was banned for figuring out how to bypass the swear filter on April Fools Day. It was so worth it!

It was along the lines of did they know that MN and NM were merging and that only MN users could swear on NM and I proved it by bypassing the filter serves them right for using basic BBcode tbh

It was funny watching them try it but the ban hammer came down quick

I was banned from the other site. Had not been on for years. Moved house so new ip. Rejoined. It's so quite and slow. I think they have banned every fucker and they have moved over here.

I've found this site really reasonable with understanding why I was banned and resolving it. Never been banned elsewhere

But we also like to think that all parenting sites can co-exist quite happily without the need to take each other down. Can you bear that in mind please when you post on here? Thanks ever so.

I feel the need to get banned from there. I used to be on there before here, for the local stuff, I wasn't a fan of their talk boards because of the hunning, txtspk and tickers. Plus it seems like everyone only agrees with the OP instead of offering actual advice.

Hmmm, how can I bet banned. Just to feel like a rebel for once in my life .

Ask them if they are on drugs?
Have a sense of humour
Call someone a bridge dweller - not allowed to call them a troll
Call them a cunt
Call them any name in fact

Not that I am encountering bad behaviour
