Seriously babs? Just let it go! Mumsnet have spoken! Hmm

Come on FAM updates needed! Grin

Sonnet · 04/07/2017 11:45

Fam : Thank you! Yes part of me really wishes I hadn't messaged her now and I'd waited till it was brought up. As hopefully it would of been in the playground. Now I'm going to have a lot of awkwardness and justification to do in my real like, not just on here. Plus a horrible be it also funny scene last night playing on my mind today. Yes mutual friend sent me the number as that was the mutual advice to get it

This was what I meant with my 2 posts yesterday about not getting carried away with the froth of mumsnetters baying for blood. Whist you didn't comment (possibly not seen in the multitude of messages Grin ), others did and did not respond favourably. This is still your life and will carry on long after this thread is forgotten. you have to continue to be this woman's neighbour and see her on the school run.

Longtime · 04/07/2017 11:49

Whatever happened with Andy and the piano, flumpernickel?

Flumpernickel · 04/07/2017 11:51

I think it just fizzled out longtime, he started being relatively normal after his (was it bora bora?) holiday!

Booooo!

MamaHanji · 04/07/2017 11:53

The Mexican house thief thread is by far, the best thread on mumsnet. This has come close. Followed by the fly space on the bus thread...

diddl · 04/07/2017 11:57

Good to have you back, Fam.

I think that you did the right thing by sorting it out sooner rather than later.

It has given her some time to sort something out.

They obviously didn't want to give details as they must have known that it would be a flat out no from most people.

Trying to be sneaky hasn't worked either.

They need a nanny/au pair by the sounds of things.

DAMNgina · 04/07/2017 11:59

Flump I think she's at her daughter's nursery induction - even though I know this, I'm still l refreshing.

I hope they don't recognise there - poor woman's got anxiety and she'll start out as an MN legend from the get-go.

Or it may work in her favour and no-one will ask her for any child care related favours for the rest of her kid's school-career?

CotswoldStrife · 04/07/2017 11:59

Didn't Fifth Harmony do a song with 'work' in as well (or should that be WORK).

eagleHasLanded · 04/07/2017 12:08

Hence husband suggesting to delete and forget it all.

I think that is good advice - I wouldn't go over the messages and get sucked in or made more anxious. Her child care isn't your problem and you should work on giving it no more headspeace.

Now I'm going to have a lot of awkwardness and justification to do in my real like, not just on here. Plus a horrible be it also funny scene last night playing on my mind today.

You'll probably find others know what they are really like anyway .
Just be be polite firm and distant.

I think if you haven't done anything you'd have found them on your doorstep at 6.00 am. Once you knew their expecations you could either worry endlessly and then try deal with it on your doorstep, confront and get to the bottom or not be around those days which might come back to you later on anyway. None of the opotions were excatly great for you.

prettybird · 04/07/2017 12:09

One of my SILs (dh's sister) is like this (his other sister is lovely Smile) Expects the entire universe to revolve around her.

There are indeed people who are so self-centred that they can't conceive that other people have their own plans and then get annoyed that don't put their lives on hold in order to be able to save them money "do favours" Hmm

mikeyssister · 04/07/2017 12:12

I think you did the right thing addressing it now otherwise you would be guilted into minding them

PoisonousSmurf · 04/07/2017 12:12

I really don't get why she needs her kids to be looked after. Are they troublemakers? Will they wreck her perfect house and bring over loads of friends and have a party?
I really don't get why they can't be at home. There must be something else to this.

PoisonousSmurf · 04/07/2017 12:16

OP, is the crazy woman not British? Does she not understand social norms?

peukpokicuzo · 04/07/2017 12:18

Yay! Glad you are back and have been apologised to Fam.

flumpybear · 04/07/2017 12:21

Hooray 😁 welcome back fam 👏👏👏🍾🥂🍹🎉🎊🎈🎈🎈

Nearly all of MN are standing right by your side ... ignore any sharky types on here out for blood - you've a huge following right there behind you all the way - you've made it to the MN hall of fame I think .... perhaps the hall of fam Wink

rainbowpie · 04/07/2017 12:22

Glad to have you back fam!

FurbysMakeSexNoises · 04/07/2017 12:24

This is now becoming harassment- perhaps worth asking 101 for advice? Might give you reassurance if her behaviour escalated?

cabbage67 · 04/07/2017 12:25

Have loved this thread

PoisonousSmurf · 04/07/2017 12:26

I'd also suggest ringing 101. This is turning into a personal vendetta against you. The woman is clearly unhinged and crazy!

Flyinggeese · 04/07/2017 12:33

To everyone saying 'I nominate for Classics' you have to do this by pressing the 'report' button and asking MNHQ. I think. Can anyone confirm?

Libitina · 04/07/2017 12:34

Glad you're back again Fam.

Remember, don't answer the door or make plans to go out on the 17th. I still think WORKzilla will turn up with the kids expecting you to cave and have them.

redshoeblueshoe · 04/07/2017 12:43

Flying - that's how I've done it.
Happy to see you back fam Brew Cake

Hormonequeen · 04/07/2017 12:43

I have loved reading this thread, WORKzilla reminds me very much of a school mum I avoid know. Well handled Fam, good for you!! What a cheeky cow!

Noisybastardsshutup · 04/07/2017 12:45

I can't believe she's bad mouthing you now.

LexieLulu · 04/07/2017 12:46

What did the texts say? (I'm far too nosey)
