Your reasoned arguments have made me reconsider my previous messages. I have now decided to mind your children for the entire holiday,and have even , as you suggested, organised my diary to suit. I will not be charging you for my time because as you say, having two extra kids around when I am already minding my own is nothing really.
However, there will be some expenses involved to cover the activities I have planned.
Week 1
Animal week. We will be visiting a farm,a zoo and an aquarium. your children will require packed lunches on all days and the cost of train fares, taxis and entry fees works out to £130 per child.
Week 2
Performing arts week. we will be going to the cinema, a puppet show, a two day theatre workshop, and a circus. As before packed lunches will be required ,Transport and entry fees for this week work out to £143 per child.
Week 3
Music week. This week we will all be taking part in a music workshop led by professional musicians ,culminating in a performance for parents on the Friday evening. the workshop people will be providing lunch and transport every day, cost of the weeks workshop is £298 per child. Tickets for the performance are £33 each, shall I put you down for two?
Week 4
Writers week. I think it is important that children get some down time so this week we will all be writing out diaries, experiences and thoughts about the holiday so far. your children will need packed lunch every day, a laptop, plus a variety of writing instruments, blank notebooks, good dictionaries and a4 paper for printing. As you know printing is expensive so I will be charging 24 p per sheet, minimum sheets 10, payable in advance.
Week 5 explorers week. this week we will be out an about exploring and discovering new places. Rail,coach and bus fares will cost £78 for the week, packed lunches will be required.
week 6
Sports week. This week I have booked tennis and golf coaching for all the children at a cost of £400 per child. Lunches will be required.
Please ensure that all money is paid by the 17 th, I think we are all going to have a wonderful summer of free child care and fun.
