Unexpected wedding thank yous

not from the bride and groom, but from the guests. Basically saying thank you for having us, what a wonderful party, food etc and for sharing your lovely day.

Did anyone else receive these? I got a handful, mainly from the older, posher guests. Now I wonder whether I should have been doing it all this time?

I send a pretty postcard or similar to the bride's parents ,if they hosted, to the RSVP address. It only takes 5 minutes and I always think that weddings take months of planning and an acknowledgment from the guests is a polite thing to do.

Yes we did get quite a few, but marrying in our 40s. We also made a point of not asking for any gifts.

Yes we got thank yous (although not from everyone) and I've also sent thank yous in the past. It's thoughtful and considerate.
