I have a consultation tomorrow and I am nervous !!

Basically I am 37 and I just look a bit "tired" ....I used to have lovely plump lips but I think they have started to deflate a little bit sadly, so I am just thinking of getting a tiny amount of lip filler just so they look like they used to, I still want them to look natural. And botox wise I just want to look a little fresher and more awake.

I have done months of research and even went as far as to go through a consultation at SK:N clinic and book a treatment but I bottled out in the end because the customer service was absolutely shocking

The clinic I am going to tomorrow is a dentist, and I have heard they are the best people to administer botox etc as they know the anatomy of the face muscles better than a nurse or doctor.

Anyway does anyone want to admit to having had either / both? And want to share experiences? What I most want to know is did you get good results !!

What is "baby botox" ?

Personally my friends who have done this (I'm 54) think they look fab but I liked them better without. Foreheads become totally inexpressive. Lips range from horrid duck lips to fake pout. Wrinkles do leave the forehead, and no one has had droopiness, they go to expensive plaice surgeons, but it doesn't look real and the lack of movement gives a faint zombie affect.

At least follow his advice and avoid the permanent pout. Fake fake fake looking.

Baby Botox just means they use a bit less so your face can move a bit more. TBH most people who have what's claimed to be Baby Botox just have regular botox but feel better about it if it's called something else. Genuine BB doesn't work well for a lot of people because it can lead to some very odd patterns of muscle activity.

I've had Botox a few times just on my forehead, it's fab - I don't look younger (am only 32) but do look less tired/stressed.

Yes deffo going to skip the lips...I think they're fine as they are ..they may not be as plump as they were a few years ago but they're still nice

I've had Botox, cheek fillers and lip enhancement since January. I was looking tired after having the children and it definitely helped.. I love it! Wanted to see a fully qualified Doctor and looked everywhere. Ended up seeing the Doctor in South Ealing, Live Young Cosmetics. Would highly recommend. Good luck!

CallingPeopleACuntOnFb · 06/07/2017 07:45

So I had it done ...I had some between my brows as well

Didn't hurt at all, I was amazed!! Had a slight headache for a few hours after but nothing too bad

I can feel that it's working...I can't pull my eyebrows together nearly as much as I could before (it that makes sense) I can't see much difference so far! Although the Dr does a top up for free if needed after 2-3 weeks I'm a bit disappointed as I thought I'd look all amazing and fresh faced on my holiday and I ...well...don't 😩🙈

I suppose it has only been 3 days though ...

Wanted to update

I cannot recommend this enough

It took till about day ten to get really noticeable results but on day ten I COULD NOT frown at all. I.e. Couldn't pull my brows together if that makes sense. And my face just looked so smooth and rested

The little lines at the corner of my eyes have GONE. I look so much fresher and happier. So happy with it 😁

I've had fillers in the lines above my nose and Botox either side of that. I was surprised how long it took to settle - 3 weeks - but once it didn't I was so pleased. Not at all frozen appeaence and my husband/few friends I've told have all said I look less tired and yes they can see the diffence but wouldn't have if I'd not said.
I'm due to go back in September for more and I definetely, definitely don't regret it.
I went to an actual plastic surgeon because, having worked for surgeons in the past, I've seen awful cases where beauticians and dentists have got it wrong. More £££ but so much worth it. Hope that helps x

Thanks daisy. I had it done (see my last post) and it was amazing. Didn't have lip fillers as was advised I didn't need them. My Botox chap is a dentist.
