Its nice, and I wanted something similar for my bridesmaids dresses. I'm not sure I've its appropriate to wear as part of the wedding party though, due to the white under the silver.

Just don't post any any threads that you know from the outset will end up in the Daily Mail. ie anything about weddings for a start.

There was a thread recently where the independant copied part of it ( very sensitive one that people have sent many many conplaints to them about) im just fed up of this.

I was watching 'Say Yes to the Dress' tv programme on Quest Red earlier about the bridal shop Kleinfeld in New York. There was a bride looking for her dress with her mother looking for her MOB dress. I always recall MOBs mostly dressed in suits/dress and jacket ensembles from the ones I attended but this MOB was trying on strapless evening gowns with trains full of lace and bling. At one point I thought the boobs were going to spill out.

I'm wondering if this sort of dress is the norm in the US? I've never seen anything like it over here.

That is pretty shit. The John Lewis reviewer posted in good faith and has ended up in the bloody Fail.

Goodness the fail are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Personally I think it's vile. I wouldn't choose to wear it. Equally though someone else may love it.
Do I think it's suitable for a church wedding? Nope, far to risqué and Shirley Bassey like.
Sorry to those who disagree.

Poor poor woman & I don't mean the OP.

I think it's time for this thread to be pulled.

Well, the wedding was in April 2016, the reviewer has probably forgotten she even wrote a review on the John Lewis website. I hope she has. And I hope her son's wedding was fantastic and that she looked absolutely gorgeous.

Fuck you Daily Mail journos, you lazy gits.

OP, this was a pretty mean-spirited thread in the first place.

What is going on, on this site at the moment?

So we know some random woman wore a dress to a wedding we know nothing about.

And from that, a load of posters have deduced it's unflattering, inappropriate and attention grabbing.

Wtactualf??!!!

and OP - well done... random bitchy comment might just have made someone feel like shit.

Did the woman wear the dress to the wedding in the end? Will she always be known as 'X, the one who wore the sparkly frock?'.

IT is obviously bridal and therefore totally unsuitable for the mother of the groom
