One final box that had been in his mum's spare room for donkeys years. It contained a lava lamp. He has put it on his bedside table, in our previously beautiful, immaculate, un-tainted by 90's shit, nautical-style bedroom. Also in the box was a special edition DVD of Highlander, a tartan cummerbund that doesn't fit around his dad bod anymore and more than 50 beer mats from various dives pubs around the country. AIBU to ask what bizarre/horrific/inexplicable shit stuff your DP brought when he moved in?

Really weird but strangely lovable glass dragon

It's a Wyvern.

A Wyvern has 2 legs and a 2 wings.

A Dragon has 4 legs or even 2 arms 2 legs & 2 wings.

A Pokemon stadium Hmm and a pouch of lucozade that a football manager no one has heard of drank from 😷

I moved into the farmhouse with DH so the crap was already here. Tapes of granny music from the early 80s his mother probably found dated (and no cassette player to play them). A vast collection of terrible jumpers. Huge collection of model tractors. A hideous collection of mismatched old chairs which his parents had been given from various elderly relatives in the 70s. His late mothers huge collection of royalty memorabilia. Enough old cutlery to sink a ship. Every book from his childhood and annuals (he is dyslexic and hates reading but they are still here). Bits and bobs from several previous generations most of which he can't understand why they were kept. Chequebooks (the stubs) from 20 years ago

I thought the last box was the LAST box, but it wasn't. I discovered a bunch of black bags full of shite was on its way the day we came back from our wedding last week. And entire bag full of old payslips and pensions statements, another full of football trophies, a whole bag full of fucking cables and the bag at the very bottom of the pile had split and this collection greeted me....

Good job it's already in a bin bag, I'd be chucking that straight in the wheelie bin.

A really fucking awful interesting 'Happy Days' clock.
More Lego than Denmark.
A fearsome amount of DVDs (only surpassed by my own truly monstrous collection of DVDs - all the duplicates are in plastic boxes in the spare room wardrobe, including 7, yes 7 copies of Star Wars/Empire/Jedi. Each.)
Over 300 T shirts.
An ever expanding collection of guitars, mandolins, banjos and their assorted wires, pedals and amps. He's not a musician, he's an 'appreciator'.

He has a man cave. All his guitars are there, after a stand up shouting match when we first moved in and he wanted to hang them above the fireplace in the living room.

I brought a lot of stuff too, including a horses head...attached to the rest of a horse. Apparently the horse outweighs the guitars and the Lego. I disagree, particularly as the horse has since become dearly departed. The guitars are still breeding and he is now buying ukeleles for the weans.
