Lweji Most of us already do.
But what we really need to do is wish for legislation that shackles lobbyists and restricts contributions to politicians by organizations like the NRA. If the power of the NRA were broken, stricter gun laws would follow.
We also need to wish for better and more available mental health care. Where I live there is a dearth of psychiatrists and most insurance policies don't cover MH counseling at all, they only cover treatment by an MD.
Better mental health treatment options may or may not have stopped today's tragedies in VA and San Francisco, but it would prevent many others.
On another subject, I'm appalled at the UK Supreme Court ruling re NI and abortions. Legal is legal and if a person otherwise qualifies then where they live should be no bar to obtaining services. I know it's a bit different here because we don't have free health care, but that's like our SC saying that a woman living in Nevada wouldn't be allowed to have an abortion in California.
But it does sound as if they aren't barred completely, just that an abortion won't be free, correct? So, technically a facility could charge a nominal fee, just as long as they charged something?
