Not posting this to start a massive politics debate I'm just interested in the above question.

I voted labour, I put something about it on social media and a few older people have commented saying I obviously don't have "brains or life experience as them" & "young ones voting labour don't know what they are getting themselves in for".

I'm hoping I'll be proved wrong.
Not that it matters but I'm late 20s and those who made these comments range between 50-60.

Hope this doesn't come across as ageist, it's not my intention at all Blush

44 and DH 45.

Trolloverbeethoven · 10/06/2017 21:55

Me at 35, DH 38, DM 68, DF 69, DMIL 73. Today I went to a local labour party garden party and the average age was about 55. I'm definitely getting more left wing as I get older.

36 and voted labour as did my 40 yr old dh, 37 yr old brother, 63 yr old dad and 72 yr old fil. We all did so for public services. My dad, dh and myself are Corbyn supporters. Bro reads the sun and wasnt sure of corbyn but liked their policies. We got him to actually watch corbyn interviews and he agreed he had been misrepresented. Out of our close family only 60 yr old mum and 72 yr old mil voted con.
