Fio, where I live they just do pass-ta.

Aloveheart · 19/03/2007 19:48

Well that's what i read on the packet. maybe it was 33% of rda. well it's alot for a small burger. Do they put sweetner on them when they make them then or are they already in the burgers?

Aloveheart · 19/03/2007 19:51

There's 300 calaries in a cheeseburger.

Everything in moderation I think too rather have a pizza hut than macd's though.

Lizzer · 19/03/2007 19:53

I dunno Twiglett, the original song my dd loves and dances to at discos and the like, its a catchy little number you have to admit. It was released by the 'fast food rockers' in 2004 or thereabouts.

However, she couldn't wait the other day to tell me her school friend had told her that mcdonalds have carrot sticks now, but that they take the all goodness out and put sugar in instead!!

I don't know what i think about the new ending your ds has been taught...??? I guess its a shame that the brands are mentioned and that if we teach children that all fast food places are bad we could end up with teenagers running out to rebel against it.... Time will tell I think but if you have some concerns I would approach a teacher and get their point of view...

Tee hee Twiglett, dd asked, very loudly, for a cappuccino all over the Isle of Wight at the weekend. 'Is cold. I want a cappuccino!" The concept of babyccinos has not hit the Isle of Wight yet, I can tell you.

And yes, I prefer Pizza Express to Pizza Hut because I'm a food snob and probably ten other kinds of snob too, but I still resent kids being taught to be sanctimonious little snobs at school. Bloody hell, they'll be enlisting children to inform on their parents next - 'Mrs Aloha, your son here tell me you ate a plate of chips with mayonnaise and a packet of chocolate buttons for your lunch yesterday....in front of him. We take that sort of thing very seriously you know. We don't want to have to send you to the re-education camp (an organic carrot farm in the Outer Hebrides), do we?"

WelshBoris · 19/03/2007 19:57

I have been to that re-education camp Aloha, I still bear the scars.

twentypence · 19/03/2007 19:57

Look forward to anyone trying to teach this to ds as I have written a second verse;

McDonalds, McDonalds, have an allergy list which keeps me safe.

McDonalds McDonalds, is only meat and bread for Goodness sake.

jangly · 19/03/2007 20:00

Can't see anything wrong with McDonalds myself. High protein, not that high on the saturated fats. You can check it out here . Click on Eat Smart.

nikkie · 19/03/2007 20:05

We had a tour and 'make your own' pizza at Pizza hut, I am reluctant to go back after that!

Hulababy · 19/03/2007 20:08

This song is on one of the Pop Jr CDs, but it has also been around for years now. I remember my little sister knowing it - certainly hasn't turned her into a McDonalds obsessed adult!

Twiglett · 19/03/2007 20:21

DD used to sing "Spaghetti! Spaghetti! A pizza margherita and some garlic bread."

But that was at a nice middle class international school.

Hulababy · 19/03/2007 20:25

DD loves Pop Jr CDs! Although at the moemnt we get teh High School Musical one all the time.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 19/03/2007 20:34

oh god we're high school musical at minute too..bet you know all the words too????

Hulababy · 20/03/2007 20:19

Oh yes, every one! DD has only had the DVD for a couple of weeks or so but she has seen it so many times now. She's a bit young still for the romantic bits, so now she's watched it right through a few times, she just skips to her favourite bits - normally the singing and dancing!

lou33 · 20/03/2007 20:20

i remember dd1 being taught it at nursery when she was 2 or 3, and she is almost 15 now

stleger · 20/03/2007 20:37

This is in my head now. Anglesea is nice for a couple of days, good beaches and there used to be a good Indian restaurant. I love Wales.
