To wonder how right-wingers who have complained about left-wing comments feel about today's Sun front page?

The complaining about the left-wing 'haters', some of whom may have gone a bit too far, but many of whom are just people who are desperately worried about what is going to happen to this country, particularly to the vulnerable and the services they rely on, has been prolific during this campaign. Some people have even claimed they were going to vote their Labour but then decided to vote Tory after seeing an 'offensive' post online. Clearly bollocks of course, but still, people have clearly been narked on being called out on their decisions and the impact they have on others.

Then today we wake up to the travesty that is the Sun front cover. It's an absolute disgrace and actually took my breath away when I saw it. Why do we have to put up with the filthy press we have in this country? It's utterly sickening to think that these cynical people are persuading their readers to vote for people who will implement policies that will make their lives demonstrably worse.

Foul.

I have read many many political threads and I do not see what you are seeing. Perhaps there might be some confirmation bias at work?

When I look at the political threads as a whole I see conservative supporters giving as much as they receive.

There are posts on either side of the fence that I think are not helpful, rude and/or ignorant.

Do you see whats happening here in our conversation?

I am saying that both left and right leaning voters (for want of a better description) can be rude ignorant and offensive.

Whilst you are arguing its just the lefties.

Seems to back up my argument no?

I am sure there is a good and simple answer that has passed me by but I don't understand why the broadcast media have to be balanced in the run up to an election but the print media don't. Why have different rules?

I think it's vile and immoral that the press are allowed to openly engage in political campaigning for a specific party, especially when they spread lies and abuse to do so.

The press should be held to the same or higher standards as broadcasters.

I find it bizarre that so many people allow themselves to be brainwashed by the billionaire elite.

Apparently Murdoch stormed out of his election party. PMSL.
