How is a guy promising to spend billions of money the country DOES NOT HAVE a good guy?
Yes he will tax the richest. You really think they are rich enough to cover free social care, free uni fees, boost the NHS and the welfare system? REALLY?? JC is a fantasist.
OF course his manifesto sounds better but he is just telling you want you want to hear.
If labour get in the country will be bankrupt by the end of the 5 years. Its time to play the long game. We will be worse off either way with brexit but long term at least we can start to improve with TM.

OP do you really think this is going to make non labour voters go 'hang on I didn't realise labour was good and everyone else bad' must put tick against labour?

P.S it's Cowboys and Native Americans

No it isn't.

Voting Conservative.

I think this style of OP, and a lot of the pro-Labour posting on MN in the last few days, is an insult to democracy.

A lot of the pro-Labour posting seems to have been evenly split between

"Vote Labour because they are the caring, sharing, tolerant party unlike the selfish, nasty Tories"

and

"If you don't, you are less than human."

which I'm having trouble getting my head round as a coherent worldview Hmm

Now do fuck off there's a dear.

As much as I'm a Corbyn voting lefty I'm getting sick to death of these fucking threads, honestly. I wish there was a rule confining political threads to the politics section as this is beyond a joke.

Good grief, if there is one thing that winds the off me and that is being told who to vote for on the basis of....well nothing.

So no, OP, your request will have absolutely no baring on who I vote for at all.

SexTrainGlue · 08/06/2017 08:31

There has been quite a deluge of threads this morning.

I'm hoping the rate of creation of new ones will calm down a bit now there are so many.

And of course people will vote for who they see are the "good guys"

But that does nit mean they will agree with you about what is 'good'

TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY TODAY!

CherriesInTheSnow · 08/06/2017 08:32

I don't think people are necessarily tory bashing, just that as you probably do I believe strongly in labours ideas.

Obviously I can't speak for all threads and all posters but I don't think supporting one party is necessarily demonising the other, and while I stand by my earlier point, its because it is a valid concern.

This is why I usually stick to the infant feeding threads Grin

Vote to have a country in 5 years - vote Tory.

If you vote for Corbyn his spending plans will be being paid for by your grandchildren.

Report
luckylucky24 · 08/06/2017 08:35

Cherries- saying Tories are the bad guys IS demonising and is what labour voters have been doing since the election was called.

Report
Leaderwithsoul · 08/06/2017 08:36

Yet its OK for the Tories here to go around spouting the party line about Labour overspending on every thread like automatons.

Double standards.

Report
fessmess · 08/06/2017 08:40

I'll be glad when this is all over. I too want Jc to win and wish I could tell others how to vote, but I can't. Spoil your ballot paper if you must, but vote. I suspect 95% of us make our minds up before an election is called!!

The conservative party have done terribly, terribly, for our population and economy Confused

Child poverty has risen significantly, a's has food bank use. Cuts to education and NHS are significant, even if they claim to "protect the budget" (I. e. not cut but not increase so it falls behind with inflation and in real terms is less).

They have cut welfare and disability benefits for the people who rely on support the most, and the reason so many rely on tax credits and housing benefit is because it is impossible for many to buy a home (you don't get housing benefit if you are a home owner) and private rent has no regulation and is extortionate in densely populated parts of the country.

They only called the election in the the first place to avoid an election fraud scandal FFS Hmm

DollsHouseTales · 08/06/2017 08:44

Cherries - you can have all the ideas in the world but turning them into reality is a different matter.

Promises, promises....

That's why I'm voting on who is the best leader with the most gravitas and that's not JC in my opinion.

I'm basing my vote around securing the best Brexit deal. Anyone who thinks EU are going to go easy on us with a "nice" leader is mistaken. In my opinion. Quite the opposite.

Okay lucky but I did say I can't speak for all posters and I didn't start the threadAnd demonising the tory party and tory voters and different things to be fair.

I agree with the poster who said there is no point debating on election day really, as who realistically hasn't made up their mind by now?

Report
CherriesInTheSnow · 08/06/2017 08:46

That's fine Dollhouse if you truly believe TM and doesn't have her own party''s and social circle's interests in mind and genuinely think she is competent thas fine.

I won't be posting any more but I do truly resent the notion that labour's ideas are too idealistic, or fantasist. There are real changes to the country that can be made.

Report
KERALA1 · 08/06/2017 08:47

Conservatives have made an utter hash of the last few years. Schools all over the place, hospitals over crowded and we are leaving the EU because they hashed that up too. Strong and stable is an absolute joke.
