If you wake up and are still under conservative rule?

Not goady, just genuinely interested in how you intend to make life better for yourself and those around you

Volunteer like I do every Friday at citizens advice, helping people access food banks and stay off the streets, and wonder as I always do if anyone who voted tory still would after doing a couple of shifts at their local CAB

LouHotel · 07/06/2017 22:12

Watch OITNB with a pint of wine.

BelafonteRavenclaw · 07/06/2017 22:13

Go back to work in an under funded school and try not to think about how things could get any worse.

LouHotel · 07/06/2017 22:13

Well really wish Flibber hadnt posted just before me.

BellMcEnd · 07/06/2017 22:16

If the TM is still PM I will probably cry and I hardly ever cry.

Once all the DCs are in bed I'll drink some gin with DH although not very much as I'm working (NHS for now, prob not v long if Cruella and her cabal stay in ) a 13 hour shift on Saturday.

Please. Let's vote them OUT

GhostofFrankGrimes · 07/06/2017 22:20

will this cheer anyone up?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 07/06/2017 22:22

Whatever happens, nothing will compare to how gutted I was over Brexit.

This. Brexit will hang over Britain like a dark cloud for at least a decade.

SynysterGates · 07/06/2017 22:26

Lou
Thanks for the reminder
I hve planned lunch out and now good tv

It certainly sounds goady, or at the very least makes an unpleasant assumption about the state of our lives. And that's the difference between so many on the right to those on the left, isn't it? They act out of self interest, to make their own lives better, rather than out of social conscience. I'm extremely worried about a next Tory government. Worried what effect it will have on a lot of other people.

ExplodedCloud · 08/06/2017 12:59

slarti I agree with the 'make life better' being judgy. If I could find a cure for my newly diagnosed Neuro condition on Friday that would certainly jolly me up. Am guessing that's not likely though.

Alanna1 · 08/06/2017 13:15

Hope that the labour party has a different leader by the time of the next general election.... which at the rate we're going will be some time in 2018. And count my blessings, which are many, and worry about those who have less.

I actually think JC would have won had his party got behind him. Although I haven't voted labour (I voted based on which local candidate has impressed me the most) I have a huge amount of respect for him.

I agree. Although obviously the real problem is all the people who fall for Tory shite time after time, and then say, 'oh, I didn't think voting Conservative would mean [insert predictable thing here]'.

Ecureuil · 08/06/2017 16:30

I agree with this. I don't need to improve my life, my life is great. We're lucky enough to have a houseful income close to six figures so we are comfortable. Currently no health worries etc. I haven't voted labour to improve my life, I've voted labour for the whole of society.

ssd · 08/06/2017 18:01

thanks ecureuil, people like you give me hope for the future.

SignoraStronza · 08/06/2017 18:09

Try to resist the urge to say to patients (when they complain they can't get to see a Dr), "If you think it's bad now, the next five years are only going to get worse".
I'm so pissed off with our local MP. He's deleted my (perfectly reasonable and politely asked) questions off his FB page, along with anyone else's that he can't or won't answer. Only leaves the comments from his crowing, fawning cronies.
When people ask a second time, he blocks them. Talk about democracy in action.
I shall probably devote a lot my time to bugging the hell out of the little twerp and writing lots of letters.

RoseTico · 08/06/2017 18:16

I stayed up to watch the results of the referendum - did not go well.

I watched the results of the American election - did not go well.

Tonight I plan to be in bed by 10pm. Even if the worst does happen, at least I will be well rested!

Aaaah rose rose

I was thinking this !!!!!

I went to bed on both of those occasions and look what happened

I blame myself

So i should stay up...is that what we are saying

Or Both those events came as a shock when i woke up....so if i want another shock i should go to bed

God i am so confused....the future of the country rests on our shoulders rose

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 08/06/2017 18:25

Binge watch OITNB and pretend it isn't happening.

ElizaDontlittle · 08/06/2017 18:26

Tomorrow I will get up and go to work and treat my patients. Saturday I'll let myself feel the anger and disappointment and loss. Without telling myself how I 'should' feel, I will just be.
Sunday is the day for resolutions - I have been politically more active this election (spent today in a Labour phonebank) - what's next for me - because I will not sit by and do nothing. And pray - for understanding, gentleness and a steely determination to do as I would be done by - even to those I am deep down furious with.

SomeOtherFuckers · 08/06/2017 18:26

Live my life ... that's what a democracy is x

Stripyhoglets · 08/06/2017 18:29

Feel sad - I like the suggestion of buying food for the food bank - pray a bit - and then get on with it while working out how to best protect my children from the next 5years when one of them will become an adult and go through university with massive debt at the end.
