AIBU moaning about the biscuits? Do dark chocolate digestives count as a treat. After helping my boyfriend in the 'fun factory' he disappears off for some what I hope is 'chocolatey niceness' comes back with a pack of dark chocolate digestives as they were 'on special'. Not even a small packet - a GIANT - packet. They are sitting there on the desk, taunting me, pretending to be chocolatey when they are not.

Obviously I can't buy my own lovely biccies as I am on a STRICT DIET and only other people's biscuits contain zero calories.

AIBU to insist he gets what I like so I can indulge and remain guilt free?

BTW he didn't get the shite ones to 'support' me - cost was the only consideration!

Good grief, humour transplant needed at CatLady's house, stat.

^^This!

witsender · 06/06/2017 20:08

Dark chocolate digestives are God's own biscuits. Therefore, yabtu. (You are being thoroughly unreasonable.)

sparklefarts · 06/06/2017 20:09

Clopy Grin you've made my night. Wink bigly indeed

gamerchick · 06/06/2017 20:09

Today 19:52 iffikittyPlain chocolate digestives and a mug of tea, I can eat six before drawing breath. Dunking obviously

I'm reading that and all I can see is 3 hours of walking to burn it off.

Fitbits ruined buscuits for me!

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 06/06/2017 20:13

into a little spot putting fiddly little things into tiny little holes in a certain pattern. There you have the fun factory ! grin

This is still about sex right? Grin Although it is a little unfair to describe it as a fiddly little thing on the Internet Op!

GreeboIsACutePussPuss · 06/06/2017 20:14

Dark chocolate digestives are great, please don't give them to your dog though, it can poison them.

2ManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 06/06/2017 20:15

Dark chocolate is extremely poisonous to dogs! You don't want to end up with a £450 vet bill like we did...

Vonklump · 06/06/2017 20:21

Dark chocolate biscuits are the work of the devil. Bleugh. I'm with you, OP.

RiversrunWoodville · 06/06/2017 20:23

Vonklump summed it up perfectly!

happypoobum · 06/06/2017 20:24

Clopy and furry I will join you with the winking bigly but I think if we really want to pull then including the wanking gesture is probably the safest option.

duxb · 06/06/2017 20:25

In that case send him out for milk chocolate caramel digestives or Jaffa cakes.

Sorry, I don't pick up on sarcasm and humour at all.

My son often shows me things on the internet that are funny and I don't understand them at all.

He is literally laughing his head off and I just stand there thinking why is it funny that a cat is stood next to an empty goldfish bowl or whatever.

winewolfhowls · 06/06/2017 20:28

I've just had five of the buggers here, but dark chocolate is good for your heart. Or something.

diddl · 06/06/2017 20:32

just realised they are Co-Op ones. So will alter my original verdict to YANBU. Though truly I just don't understand UK biscuits. Lived her all my life and honestly think they're like cardboard with variations. Next time you help out at the Fun Factory, maybe be specific as to your requirements. Also in such circumstances, I'd say only chocolate cuts it. A Topic or a Lion Bar is hard to beat and provides you with energy,

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 06/06/2017 20:52

Not Co-op own brand disastrousflapjack , a super good Co-op offer where the huge mcvities ones are a mere £1.

AnnaFiveTowns · 06/06/2017 20:52

Now I don't normally like dark chocolate, but dark chocolate digestives are far superior to the milk variety... and now I want a packet!

disastrousflapjack · 06/06/2017 21:00

Until oh well that changes the matter then. MacVities are THE chocolate digestive I expect. The only way to get what you want is to be very specific. Also I find as the recipient to tell the purchaser the sort of things i wouldn't be happy with - so, "I need a Topic. If they don't have that then a Lion Bar and if they don't have those I'll have chocolate buttons. But DON'T buy biscuits. And I mean ANY biscuits. Even if they are on offer. They can be purchased in addition to my order but not instead of.

FatGirlWithChocolate · 06/06/2017 21:37

Chocolate digestives dunked in a cup of tea. You don't know what you are missing! What's wrong with you? ;)

WineAndTiramisu · 06/06/2017 21:45

Dark chocolate digestives are the work of the devil. Needs to be milk chocolate, either digestives or hobnobs, either will do!

Lilmisskittykat · 06/06/2017 21:50

I always feel saintly eating dark chocolate digestives as dark chocolate is good for you right ?!

CakeNinja · 06/06/2017 21:55

I remember when I was little, my grandparents used to occasionally take us to pizza hut for a surprise treat. The best bit was the ice cream factory - it was the bees knees!

ALoveWorthKeeping · 06/06/2017 22:39

Ooh, I think I've got a packet of Breakaways in the cupboard. They're a bit like milk chocolate digestives in a bar.

dailydance · 06/06/2017 23:16

Dark chocolate is not a treat. It's an insult to taste buds. Your OH must not like your mouth. LTB (to buy decent biscuits)
