Calmed why? I couldn't care less who breastfeeds where, and always did myself - but why does there need to be some kind of emotional crutch for 2yo just out and about?

What a load of bollocks, nothing wrong with bf for comfort if mum and baby/toddler are happy with that. Could be any number of reasons a toddler might need comforted.

If I noticed, I'd think hmm, and then remind myself of the WHO guideline to bf to 2. I think I'd be more likely to notice your screaming toddler or be trying to sort out my own

YANBU- I still feed DD age 3.5. Not often in public, but would if required. Some children have teddys, others have dummies or blankets. Comfort your child as you like.

With baby 2 I got a lot better at not giving a fuck about bf in public, she went on to feed until 4yrs.

Babies feed for comfort and they are supposed to. 2 is still a baby. It's not the same as offering chocolate.

Is it the breast feeding or the age? Either way, I don't understand why this would be an issue. If people are fragile about boobs being discretely used for their primary purpose that's their problem surely.

Two is still so young is your two year old particularly massive op? Mine could all pass for three 3 1/2 at that age.

cadenza toddlers don't really feed for hunger like babies I don't think. It's mostly comfort, helping to sleep etc. The same reason as many toddlers have a bottle or dummy (a replica boob) in fact. ..

I've fed all of mine in public at that age & older. I have had a few stupid comments but you get idiots that want to comment on all sorts. It suits me & my babies so sod them!

Oh & with my first i discovered ther is far more of a scene if you try putting them off (with cuddles/food) when they want to BF. Far less for anyone to notice if you just BF on first request!

Oh yes good point about the dummy. I always forget that. You get so used to then you don't think about it.
