When she can't be calmed with food or drink or cuddles?

Please do! I'd like to see more of it, I'll be feeding a 2 to soon.

Neverknowing · 06/06/2017 18:52

Honestly I'd be impressed you're still breastfeeding. It's not easy!!
It's not harming your child (in fact it's helping them) show them the NHS website if they say anything, it says feeding to two years is the best fo your child. Not dissing formula - I'll probably move on before my DD is two.
I read an article (online publication, lots of readers) recently that stated you should only bf until babies are six months, misinformation like this is one of the main problems for breastfeeding mums imo.

Cadenza1818 · 06/06/2017 23:02

Can i just clarify I'm totally pro bf and have twins +1 who were looking bf beyond a year. Having twins does skew my opinion on it being a comfort thing I suppose. Of I'd done that plus actually fed them I'd have been half naked for over a year GrinWink if you have no problem with it as a comfort then go for it. I just felt I couldn't do that.

I think you know quite well YANBU, and If you don't know you should do.

Madbum · 06/06/2017 23:10

YANBU people sexualise breastfeeding, the older the child the more they sexualise it.
It's their own sick minded problem, not yours.

PeaFaceMcgee · 06/06/2017 23:13

Yanbu. None of their business (and what other people think of you is none of yours Wink

UNICEF say feeding to 2 or beyond is beneficial... Super job. We should see more full term bf-ing in public x

Do It Sweetie. ((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))

I've never understood our weird fascination with being all ok with Milk from a cow Udder, but the natural Human milk passed a certain age ... ???? Yeahhhh.

I do all the time. Especially on the bus. I stare down any nasty looks.

LaurieMarlow · 07/06/2017 10:53

There's not a single legitimate reason why you wouldn't.

Crack on my love. Grin
