...on this grey Monday?? (well - its grey and bloody miserable up here anyway!) .... not writing anything much here as don't want to influence guesses.

I'm 5ft10

V bored perma-breastfeeding, so hoping this will provide a lighthearted distraction.

yes I have. That means nothing really it's just a pic. But it doesn't matter. You don't have to prove anything to me or anyone else for that matter. it's none of our business.

Mulch · 05/06/2017 22:08

Haha Lady in shape must obviously be a man. You look great op, obviously rattled a few cages

dontbesillyhenry · 05/06/2017 22:11

Look op I really couldn't care how thin/fat you are or whether you were born male or female. As long as you are happy. But this thread just seems very self indulgent

QueenMortificado · 05/06/2017 22:12

its really very sad that people assume that all women should either have soft dimpled curves or delicate wee legs and arms to be feminine.

Yes, but not TOO thin or TOO curvy or TOO dimpled mind, those are also frowned upon and not feminine! Also don't forget not hairy, not scarred, not short or stumpy or a bit cankley.

Yours, Lots Of Women

youarenotkiddingme · 05/06/2017 22:13

What a refreshing thread.

I'm 5"7 and weighed 11st6 before xmas. I hated it was wanted to be 10st (pre birth weight) Ds is 12 now Blush

My mum was dx with cancer - incurable type and I piled on pounds and weight 13st 4.

I've realised toned and healthy is better to head for instead of focussing on scales.

And btw - what an absolute scrummy baby boy - congratulations

user1491260401 · 05/06/2017 22:17

I hope you can ignore (or laugh at) all the horrible people suggesting you look male (especially those that don't understand mirrors!)

As I said before I think you look fantastic and I can completely understand your feeling about your weight. There are so many social influences constantly suggesting woman should be as light as possible that it can definitely be hard to accept that being lighter isn't necessarily healthier or more attractive.

Ethylred · 05/06/2017 22:23

You look great. DH sends phwoar congratulations too.

Octopus37 · 05/06/2017 22:24

I would say about ten stone, I look much bigger than you and I'm just over 9st but five inches shorter

Daydream007 · 05/06/2017 22:26

You are very toned and in great shape. I'd say 68 kilos of mainly muscle? You are clearly very fit!

Therealslimshady1 · 05/06/2017 22:27

I am 6ft and 12 stone and have just been told by doc I am too heavy Shock

It was a shock as I think of myself as fairly ok

Iamastonished · 05/06/2017 22:31

I'm finding this thread really inspirational. I haven't been to the gym much recently as I have had other priorities (and a couple of injuries), but I really must get back on the exercise wagon.

pandarific · 05/06/2017 22:31

You look great OP! You remind me of my best friend - she's a similar build with similar tattoos and is a very striking woman.

Shamefuldodger · 05/06/2017 22:35

You look amazing op! Horse shit do you not look feminine, I would kill seriously who do I have to kill to have your figure Grin

I'm one year on from my second csection and am currently 5ft 7 and 16 stone of pure fat Blush

Have you got any tips for beginners? (Sorry to hijack)

I've heard lifting weights is like the best way to help lose weight (I know it's 80% diet, just joined slimming world)

But I have absolutely no idea where to start.

Plus I've got to admit I'm a bit scared of walking into the weight section (or even just a gym) and people eye rolling at me.

Jenda · 05/06/2017 22:43

oP what tan do you use? You are a lovely colour! Your body is amazing, I hate youGrin

hmcAsWas · 05/06/2017 22:47

Therealslimshady1 - what's with your GP? Did he / she actually get himself / herself a medical education? BMI is a crude measure but is something to go on at least, and for a woman who is 6 feet tall the healthy weight range according to the online BMI calculator I have just used ranges from 9st 10lb up to 13 st 3lb. Why would your GP think there was a problem with 12 stones?

backscratcher · 05/06/2017 22:59

Some of these comments Hmm
"you're attention seeking", "stealth boast", then in the same breath "you don't look feminine" "you have man's arms".

And some people might wonder why people feel insecure about their bodies? Hmm
Don't be a cunt for the sake of being a cunt.

AgeingArtemis · 05/06/2017 23:04

I think a lot of people have no idea how much women (especially in shape women) actually weigh. I take part in a sport with weight categories and so I know exactly how much my female friends weigh, both at "normal" weight and competition weight.

I'm 5 foot 7, not quite as lean and strong as OP but overall very similar body type (masculine my arse) and weigh about 63kg

One of my friends (A) is significantly shorter than me (I'm terrible at estimating height so I won't bother) and she weighs about 53 kg and she looks visibly "skinny", even her face has no fat on it. She competed at 8 stone (51 kg) and looked actually quite gaunt and found it very hard to cut down to such a low weight. There is no fucking way that Kim k weighs 8 stone.

Another friend (B) is a little taller than me, maybe 5 foot 9, and has a naturally more "curvy" body type, with what I call "child bearing hips" and a bit more fat on her. (That said, there is a lot of muscle underneath and her body fat percentage is better than the vast majority of the population- I'm just comparing her to very skinny friend A). She weighs 75 kg.

It used to be the case that at pro level there were only 2 weight categories for women in my sport- under 115 pounds (52 kg) and under 135 pounds (61kg). They have only recently added an under 145 pounds (66kg) division.

I was talking to a male friend (who does the same sport) saying that it was good they had added this category so that more women can compete. He said "yeah, but there are very few women who weigh 145 pounds" (I'm going to assume he meant fit, sporty women). I pointed out that I compete at 135 pounds, but I have to diet for it, and that friend B was too heavy to safely compete, even at 145 pounds. He was genuinely SHOCKED at how much we weighed.

Paninotogo · 05/06/2017 23:10

But Kim Kardashian is tiny, so of course she weighs less. You are tall and muscular, with very large hands and feet, so you are naturally going to weigh much more than her. I don't think 12 stone sounds too high.

BarbaraofSeville · 06/06/2017 03:49

I CBA to find the picture, but I remember seeing one of those pictures on FB of a before and after of a woman who had gone from untrained and a bit flabby to strong and trained like the OP and she weighed more in the second picture, but was about 3 sizes smaller, due to the loss of a couple of stone of fat and increase in muscle mass.

I'm not surprised that the OP is 12 stone, she's tall for a woman and obviously well toned/trained/muscled. I have an aquaintance who is a semi professional power lifter, she's about 5 foot 8 and as all her competition results are published on the internet, so googling tells me that she weighs 72 kg, which is 11 stone 3. She looks similar to the OP and has thighs of steel. If you are tall and have anything approaching childbearing hips, a comparatively large amount of muscle mass can be carried on the thighs and buttocks without looking obviously 'big'.

Anyone using weights reported in the trash media for female celebrities needs to realise that the information is 90% crap. Also, people who meet celebs in real life often comment on how tiny they area - short and very slim, not averagely sized women at all and no basis for evidence of the weight of an average sized woman, or one who is taller than average.

TheDowagerCuntess · 06/06/2017 04:52

Well said, backscratcher.

This thread seems to be divided between people happy to pay a nice compliment to a stranger (build someone up), and (thankfully) fewer who are quick to tear her down.

If you're the latter - take a look at yourself and ask yourself why you feel the need to be such a cunt on a public platform where we can all see you.

kmc1111 · 06/06/2017 05:28

What a lot of odd responses. You'd think people had never seen a woman who works out before.

userbkffjyvcdbn · 06/06/2017 06:05

OP I wasn't being nasty when I asked if legs were same picture.... I hadn't read all the thread.

You had a baby just months ago and already your tummy is toned like that... amazing! Your clearly very fit and muscular

You right not everyone like the same some like muscle, some like tattoos etc and some don't!

Each to there own but either way there is no denying your in great shape and look fab

And congrats on your gorgeous baby!

Am still scratching my head why GP told me I was overweight (at 12 stone, 6ft) .

FWIW she was tiny (5ft and slim), and visibly flinched when the scale tipped 12 stone.

I am too chicken to post pics, and not as toned as OP, but used to row at Uni and still have fairly powerful legs Grin

Also, my party trick used to be beating men at arm wrestling....

I still feel feminine btw Smile

Aeroflotgirl · 06/06/2017 07:55

Back at 5"10 your very tall, what weight do you expect to be? If you were 9/10 stone you would be extremely thin and quite possibly underweight. YOu work out a lot so some of it is probably lean muscle.
