to not have any wedding night requests?

DP and I are getting married later this month. We've booked a beeeeeautiful hotel for our wedding night and got a free upgrade to the 'suite' which is beyond dreamy Smile
Anyway, the mamanger emailed me yesterday just to finalise a few things (we're having our reception in the same hotel) and asked if I had any special requests for the wedding night. I was stumped. What kind of things do people ask for, if any? Is it just a courtesy ask? I'm just happy with the upgrade, we got a discount on the original room anyway (was meant to be 190 but we paid 150) the suite is 320 a night so for me that's enough of a treat!
Only thing I might ask is they bring some of the flowers up from the reception, but other than that I just don't know.
They have an amazing wine/cocktail list in the restaurant downstairs, I was thinking of asking for a bottle of champagne to be added to the bill and left in our room for us, is that the sort of thing she means?

Since you are by the sea, 2 pretty pebbles/shells (depending on type of area) from the beach Smile something different to have as a keepsake and something which you might have planned to do but will probably never actually get round to doing

Means you can ask for something unusual but it's easily sorted, free and actually something you can keep with your wedding stuff

A jelly mould. You don't even have to give a reason why, they'll be too polite to ask and it will drive them wild with curiosity. Grin

Some of these are brilliant! I'm glad I'm getting married in 18 months. Plenty of time to consider truly bizarre requests from the hotel.

A video camera? Surely you would want to capture all of the wedding day Grin
Ask for the light bulbs to be changed. It's filament lighting or nothing.
Sheets to gently steamed not pressed.
Room to heated 22°c exactly
And Carmen to playing through the speakers at 15 decibels.
And ask them to email you the link to trip advisor.
Hope you and your groom have a lovely day/night/life together Flowers

Oh and if you (hotel manager) would care to join us? It would be much appreciated 😉

Make sure you ask for breakfast in bed. We had our wedding in a swanky hotel and never thought to order breakfast to our room or at least a cup of tea. Consequently we were gasping in the morning and were first down for breakfast.

Haha just caught up on this! Breakfast in bed is a sensible suggestion, or at least tea 😍
