According to the BBC there are twice as many American jobs involved in solar power than in coal. But why invest in a growing area when you can hate back to the good ol' days Hmm

MicrowaveSpy · 02/06/2017 09:28

It's all about the money with Trump.

I wonder what slice of the oil pie Trump & Co will receive from oil rich countries?

OP posts:
MicrowaveSpy · 02/06/2017 09:32

But I guess there is no money for Trump & co in solar - just USA

Much more personal gain with oil.

Microwave I wish his supporter base would see that he wants to make money - for himself. Protect his own interests, via the US conduit. He isn't interested in anyone's future bar his own and those of his immediate circle. He wants to build an empire to benefit himself. If his alt-right lackeys wake up to it, they may not even care that much. Like I said, the wall is very important to them, and his failure on that score might tip them over.

All this over a sodding wall. All for the want of a horse shoe nail.

lionheart · 02/06/2017 10:29

Some of that base won't be moved unless the consequences of what Trump does are tangible and in this respect, problems with healthcare rather than climate change are more likely to undermine their views.

originalbiglymavis · 02/06/2017 10:31

They'll still blame Obama or Hillary when they realise that they have lost healthcare, have sick kids, realise there are only mcjobs available (not the promised ones).

lionheart · 02/06/2017 10:45

Yep.

Natsku · 02/06/2017 10:50

Wow, just wow. Well done Trump, way to try to fuck the world up.

TheClaws · 02/06/2017 10:56

And libtards. Or any million stupid variation on the name, all illiterate, that exist.

Lweji · 02/06/2017 11:13

A good visual of what the US has become.

He's awake. Just retweeted this:

originalbiglymavis · 02/06/2017 11:43

Those dreaded words He's awake.

Does anyone else think that he wakes up, rubs his eyes, gives a chuckle and thinks 'who can I fuck over today?

Lweji · 02/06/2017 11:52

They should be relieve the Dow Jones didn't crash, but gains were moderate and part of an upward trend.

Whatever makes him feel better. Maybe he won't make more damage.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 02/06/2017 12:05

I fear that's too optimistic Sad

Arnie's message:

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 02/06/2017 12:15

Jeez. Some of the replies under that Arnie tweet - "go back to Austria!" is the least of them. Hmm

Lweji · 02/06/2017 12:26

I like Arnie's message.

a) pollution kills people
b) forward leaders are remembered
c) we'll do it regardless
d) we'll fight you
e) environmental control brings jobs and wealth

My feeling is that apart from playing to his core supporters, he wanted to "save" the money that was pledged to developing nations as part of the agreement.
He fails to see that part would probably be recouped in purchased technology, and that should the agreement fail, we'll all suffer.

MicrowaveSpy · 02/06/2017 12:49

I watched an American news piece where they interviewed a couple of Trump voters.
One was a father and he was extremely worried about the new healthcare plan. His family will lose cover and he prayed everyday that his kids wouldn't become sick. He said he would not vote Trump/GOP again.

The other man had had access to Dem programmes to help with training. He was starting a new job and thought Trump was his guy, doing what was right for him/USA. He thought people should stop whining and 'get a job' that is was fine that the programme he benefitted from would be stopped.
He couldn't see any further than his own nose. Much like Trump.
