Just watch this and then decide what you really feel about about Theresa May's policies - src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/tx3hrpDCct8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen> 8

If you ever use the NHS you need to be sure what you're voting for (& yes even if you have private healthcare and have surgery or an illness you'll be put in an ambulance and sent to an NHS hospital if there's a problem)

Be honest with yourself - do you think it's right to force NHS Trusts to sell off their assets to a private company quickly and cheaply or else their funding is cut??

Why do we have a thread with no OP?

Coronary heart disease we don't do too badly.

Better than many developed countries on colo-rectal cancers too.

Obviously death rates are lower in many very poor countries because of under diagnosis. NHS is far from failing.

As someone who currently works for the NHS, it is slowly being sold off to private companies. Virgincare aka Branson is the current owner of the sexual health services in parts of the North West. British Oxygen company has just got the tender for a community cardiac team. It is a private company which is currently rolling out the education programmes for patients on the pre-diabetes list.
Vanguard currently do MRI scans, CT scans, gastroscopy procedures. Intrahealth currently provide the vaccination programmme in schools and the anti-coagulant service.
It's happening alright. It's a shame many of the general public are not getting the message and supporting those in the NHS.
The government have mentioned they wish to bring more nurses into the role. It's funny how there are less people undertaking this since they decided to scrap the bursary.
Doctors are wanting to leave the country for better pay.
What would be the solution? Bring in from overseas?
People seem to be under the impression that once the NHS is gone and it's taken over by private firms, they will get a better service. In actual fact, they will get exactly the same service, the only difference will be is that they will be getting a bill through their door the next time their life needs saving!

The NHS is being reformed already.

Community services are mainly run by private firms

NHS plasma supplies sold off by Tories for £230 million sold on to Chinese for £820 million

www.theguardian.com/business/2013/aug/25/uk-blood-plasma-company-sale-nhs-supplies

"Bain has paid £90m upfront for an 80% stake in PRUK, with a promise of a payment "expected to be worth £110m" in five years' time.

So in fact they haven't converted £200 million to £800 million, but more like £100 million to £700 million."
