To buy this pram...

I love it but it's cream. Am I mad? DH thinks I am and we should get the Black and Tan version. Parents think I should have whatever I like because it's my PFB.

Give it to me straight.

Though my Peach has a much bigger shopping basket I've noticed! As I even put my changing bag in there instead of hanging it from the handle bar as it might scratch the chrome chassis

I have a cream pram. Firstly it's not going in and out of a car as it lives in the house (walking distance to town). Secondly all the covers are removable and machine washable. Thirdly I have just one DC. Fourthly and finally this pram will never have to serve as a pushchair, I have a pushchair ready and waiting which is not cream Wink

DC now 4 months old and haven't had to wash the covers at all, it is surprisingly clean.

If you love the cream go for it. You will use it all the time so get things that bring you joy. Looking after a baby is bloody hard work and yes boring at times, don't let your pram be boring! I love my cream pram and honestly will be sad to switch to the more sensible coloured pushchair.

I was going to go for navy and tan (in the joolz) for my DD2 but just stuck with old faithful black babyjogger in the end.

The navy is a great colour for a boy or a girl because navy + tan = STYLISH. And that's what prams are all about, right??

SparkyBlue · 30/05/2017 22:28

I have the upppababy in "Wheat" and it always looks a bit grubby so I would definitely go for something darker.

Notso · 30/05/2017 22:43

I had cream fabric for my bugaboo. No stains, I sold them on eBay three years later and the buyer said they were immaculate.

CatsRidingRollercoasters · 30/05/2017 23:49

My pram is electric blue and it is beautiful, in a tankish sort of way.

Personally I would worry less about the colour and more about the practicalities. The main question is: Can you convert it to a double? If the answer is no but you are planning more dc, then don't buy it. My eldest is 3.5 and it's only in the last 4 months or so that she never goes in the buggy anymore. And I know buggy boards etc are very useful (they certainly are) but they're hardly a match for being able to strap your tired toddler in when I they're refusing to stand up and you have a long walk home.

If you do buy it - Scotchguard it!!!!!!

ICandy Peach is the way forward :) They are SO sturdy and beautiful to push x

I have the egg in regal navy. Still looks like new and is nearly a year old. I think the cream would get too grubby.

Don't bother with the bag though, way too small imo.

buckyou · 31/05/2017 00:04

What do you people do who have imacculate cream prams!? I've had a few and they all get filthy. I'm a country bumpkin but even the ones that don't go in the fields get filthy too!

I think the navy and tan by far is the best option. Really don't like the black. X

rocketman3 · 31/05/2017 22:41

mine is red and 5 weeks of in and out of the car, rain, grass etc it's already got marks on it. i only care about my PFB now though couldn't give a monkeys about pram cosmetics, my own cosmetics etc Grin
