I've been a life long lib dem voter, but I'm thinking of voting Tory as I dont think a final say on brexit and another vote will do any good. Surely this means they will just give a bad deal so we won't vote out?

Out has to happen so just get the best deal you can imo

The UK Prime Minister still has to be democratically elected by his her constituency in Parliament. You can stand against her if you don't think she is doing a good job and want to give the voters a different option.

I think Junkers is doing a crap job. There's absolutely nothing I can do as an ordinary citizen voter to get rid of him.

Put this is just part of the democratic inversion of the EU. It was designed on Prussian / Napoleonic model of government whereby an unelected executive make the law. The "EU parliament" isn't really a parliament at all because it lacks legislative initiative. Your MEPs can't propose any laws. They can only vote on options that Junkers puts in front of them.

I wouldn't say that FPTP here is particularly democratic

You should elect a party into government (even if only as part of a coalition) that is prepared to offer the British people an alternative voting system.

Wait...
